While there was a period of time when David Lynch was a cinematic workhorse -- "Lost Highway," "The Straight Story" and "Mulholland Drive" were all released between 1997 and 2001, to give you an idea -- but he's since diversified his creative output. 2006 was the last time we saw a feature from the director with "Inland Empire," and since he's taken on a variety of ventures including fashion house helmer, concert webcaster, aspiring artist and "Louis" guest star. While he's been continually asked about his next movie, Lynch has generally deflected by saying he's waiting for the right inspiration to strike. But could he already have something brewing?
