Traditionally, TV slows down in the summer months, but that was in the days before pay-cable came to prominence. "Game Of Thrones" et al might be winding down for the season, but HBO will debut "The Leftovers" and the final season of "True Blood" in just a few weeks, while Showtime still has some "Penny Dreadful" to unspool. And while FX is still technically a basic cable station, they have as impressive a line-up as anyone: right now, with "Fargo" and 'Louie," they have two of the best shows on TV.

David Yates Who Is Jake Ellis?
David Yates hasn't directed anything since "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2," but it's not for lack of trying. He's been circling a number of projects such as "Cicero" and "Your Voice In My Head" only for them to meet various bumps in the road, while "Tarzan" was gearing, then put on hold, and then kicked back to life. He's still accumulating stuff to do, signing on to the "Scarface" remake over the summer, and now another project is crossing his very busy desk.

Tarzan, David Yates, Waltz ,Stone
Well, we'll say this about Christoph Waltz—he's got playing a villain down cold. Taking home an Oscar for playing the baddie in Quentin Tarantino's "Inglourious Basterds" (and another one for doing a variation of that role in "Django Unchained"), Hollywood has boxed him in as the antagonist in both "The Green Hornet" and "The Three Musketeers." And once again, he'll be twirling the metaphorical mustache in a big league studio movie.

It would appear that "Harry Potter" franchise director David Yates has a gangster itch he really wants to scratch. You might recall that the helmer has long been attached to the Al Capone movie "Cicero" over at Warner Bros., that has Tom Hardy to set to star. Earlier this year, development on that picture continued as Tom Shepherd was brought in write a new draft of the script, first penned by Walon Green (”The Wild Bunch,” “Sorcerer,” “The Brink’s Job”) and later rewritten by Yates. But could the director now be jumping ship to another studio for a remake based on the life of Al Capone?

There's rumors and then there's James Bond rumors, and lately they've been even more frenzied than usual. Mostly that's down to the news that "informal talks" have taken place between Christopher Nolan and producers to helm an upcoming entry in the franchise, and today brings more speculation from a couple different sources.

Looks like Warner Bros. is pulling an "Akira," "Paradise Lost" and "Arthur & Lancelot" on "Tarzan." The studio, which famously shut down all of those aforementioned films while they were in pre-production, is doing the same thing with "Tarzan" for pretty much same reason: money, money, money.

After kicking around handful of options at Warner Bros. including the drama "Your Voice In My Head," the thriller "The Imitation Game" and potential gangster epic "Cicero," 'Harry Potter' helmer David Yates has finally settled on "Tarzan" as his next project. The decision has slowly been coming over the past few months, but now it's time to find out who's going to shirtless and swinging from vines, and some interesting names are cropping up.

Though recently pushed back from a spring to summer start, allowing Emma Watson the chance to flex some comedic muscle in Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg's directorial debut "The End Of The World," it looks like "Your Voice In My Head" is going to need a new director.
