Well, that was fast. Just a brief hint of an idea earlier today, the Tom Cruise sci-fi vehicle "Our Name Is Adam" is already earning big time attention from a studio that has been putting some big faith in the actor. Meanwhile, another project looks like it's being given its walking papers.

It seems the year of Kevin Costner just won't quit. With "Hatfields & McCoys" proving he's still got some mojo, the actor has been busy on the still-untitled Jack Ryan reboot (which may even launch a spin-off with his character), he's pitching a franchise called "The Explorer's Guild" and he'll star in McG's Luc Besson-produced thriller. And now, the man who is no stranger to sports movies is going to get on the gridiron for Ivan Reitman.

Question: has Ivan Reitman made a good movie since the '90s? While "Kindergarten Cop" is a guilty pleasure, it's fair to say that since "Dave" (which has its fans, we guess) Reitman has pretty much delivered one mediocrity after another with "My Super Ex-Girlfriend" marking a particular low, and last year's "No Strings Attached" not being much better. In fact, one could say he's never really been that great of a director, with "Ghostbusters" and "Stripes" (probably still the two movies he's best known for) arguably succeeding because of the talent in front of the camera, not necessarily behind. All this is to say that Reitman is going to be making another movie.
