While the film won't officially be released into theaters next spring, Fox Searchlight must already be feeling pretty good about their upcoming crime comedy "Dom Hemingway." The studio will be officially unveiling the flick at TIFF next month, well before it arrives in cinemas, and today brings a few early looks at the movie.

Well, here's proof that James Franco is capable of walking away from a project. Just yesterday, dude dropped his 15-minute Gucci short film/advertainment thingy, but as for his next feature? Well, it's not going to be "Garden Of Last Days."

James Franco has cast the lead in his adaptation of Andre Dubus III’s singularly intense novel “The Garden of Last Days,” and he had to go all the way to Westeros to find her: Emilia Clarke, who plays the dragon-loving Daenerys Targaryen on the smash HBO fantasy series “Game of Thrones,” according to the Hollywood Reporter. She will play a Florida stripper who brings her 3-year-old daughter to work with her on the fateful night that she ends up dancing for several of the terrorists who would be involved in 9/11.

Joe Dempsie, Ben Hawkey and Maisie Williams in Game of Thrones
After episode one, "Valar Dohaeris," reminded us of what half of our Seven Kingdoms are up to in “Game Of Thrones,” episode two, “Dark Wings, Dark Words,” catches us up with the remaining characters not featured in the inaugural episode and moves the story forward in a more decided fashion, introducing new, significant characters and teaching us a bit more about some of the more mysterious aspects of story.

Sometimes you have to be a little nerdy to fully understand HBO’s “Game of Thrones.” Or at least understand it more deeply than the average viewer. If Season 2 ended with the well-titled episode “Valar Morghulis" meaning, “all men must die,” in Season 3 we begin with the less ominous and more appropriate "Valar Dohaeris" -- “all men must serve.” As fans of Westeros should know, Season 3 falls roughly within the first half of “A Storm of Swords,” the third of the “A Song of Ice and Fire” novels by George R. R. Martin.

And just like that, "Dom Hemingway" has rounded out its cast to join Jude Law and "Withnail & I" star Richard E. Grant, and is headed in front of cameras as planned. First announced this spring around the Cannes Film Festival, the ratio of projects unveiled to those actually having a chance to get made is probably a 50/50 shot, but lo and behold, this one is sticking to the plan.

For a band who only ever released two albums, one of which was rubbish, The Stone Roses continue to maintain a prominent place in pop culture, in the U.K. at least. And the Manchester favorites, behind tracks like "I Am The Resurrection" and "She Bangs The Drum" are cementing their place in 2012 with a long-awaited reunion, playing three sold-out hometown gigs this June (which will be filmed by Shane Meadows) ahead of festival apperances later in the year.

'Game Of Thrones' Star Emilia Clarke Circling Female LeadThanks to "Leon" director Luc Besson, the French have proved in recent years that they're able to produce English-language action-movies just as slam-bang and stupid as anything that Hollywood can come up with. Kicking off with the Jet Li vehicle "Kiss of the Dragon" and the Jason Statham series "The Transporter," Besson and co. have nailed the art of making a cheap, quick actioner, chucking in a few B-list American names, financing it through pre-sales, and making a tidy sum of money, helping to launch the careers of directors Louis Leterrier and Pierre Morel, and putting Liam Neeson firmly on the A-list with international smash "Taken."
