Elle Fanning How To Talk To Girls At Parties
The long developing adaptation of Neil Gaiman's short story "How To Talk To Girls At Parties" is finally getting a bit of traction. Elle Fanning will star in the "two-hander love story focusing on a schoolboy and ‎punk who uses music and art as a way to escape and a female alien tourist (Fanning) who wants to escape her tour group and explore the most dangerous place in the galaxy, the London suburb of Croydon." So, a less murder-y version of "Under The Skin"? John Cameron Mitchell ("Shortbus") co-wrote the script and will direct.

Breathe In, Guy Pearce
Guy Pearce isn't a movie star, and he's totally fine with that. The Australian actor has been a familiar face on screen for getting on twenty years, and has occasionally brushed against potential A-list-dom, but after getting burnt with things like "The Time Machine," has pretty much settled into doing whatever the hell he wants, whether it's solid character actor roles like this week's "The Rover," or fun B-movie fare like "Lockout."

Apparat
That's weird. I was just listening to Apparat's The Devil's Walk and his collaborative album with Ellen Allien, Orchestra Of Bubbles, in the past week or so, and thinking this dude would be an inspired choice to score a film. And it seems director Drake Doremus had the same thought too.

Breathe In Drake Doremus Felicity Jones
At the ripe old age of (almost) 31, writer/director Drake Doremus already has an enviable filmography, including festival favorites “Douchebag” and “Like Crazy,” the latter of which introduced American audiences to the charms of one Felicity Jones. If that’s not enough to give aspiring filmmakers apoplexy, his latest film, “Breathe In”—which premiered at Sundance in 2013—opens this week, and his next feature, “Equals,” is already brewing, starring Kristen Stewart and Nicholas Hoult in a futuristic setting (though Doremus is not quite ready to talk about it yet).

Kristen Stewart Nicholas Hoult
Drake Doremus is the kind of filmmaker we love to watch. Breaking out with his 2011 heartbreaker "Like Crazy," the filmmaker has stayed busy while also slowly and gradually expanding his horizons. His short film series "The Beauty Inside" for HP found him playing with episodic storytelling, while keeping his intimate approach intact, and his upcoming "Breathe In" (our review) starring Guy Pearce and Felicity Jones was another well-observed look at the complex emotions of love and fidelity.

It's safe to say that writer/director Drake Doremus knows his way around complicated romances and relationships. From the long distance pangs of "Like Crazy," to the fantastical urges of "The Beauty Inside" (watch it in full here), to the domestic heat of "Breathe In," he's turned over the tangles of men and women in a variety of satisfying set-ups, and now he's looking to change up the game. Currently doing press rounds in the U.K. to promote "Breathe In" which is now in theatres there, Doremus revealed his next movie will take his preoccupations to a whole other realm.
