Well, while die hard "The Simpsons" fans have already been told they're going to have to wait at least 10-15 years for another big screen outing, the show continues to soldier on, recently wrapping up its 24th season. But it looks like the show is still trying to surprise, and in a move we thought would never happen, it's going to crossover with another Fox animated hit, that owes its success to the Springfield family.

Of course, nothing has been sacred when it comes to "Family Guy" and making jokes. No subject, person, historical event or [insert whatever] has been out of bounds for the creators, so as the four-time Emmy winning show gears up for another campaign, they've put last year's breakout show firmly on their radar.

Damn, we must have lost count somewhere along the way, but "Family Guy" is now going eleven seasons strong. And while the exploits of Peter Griffin and co. are not quite as fresh, funny or interesting as they used to be, like "The Simpsons," it's a cash printing machine for Fox thanks to syndication, which likely means it's going to be around, a long, long time. And yes, it's eventually going to be coming to a multiplex near you.

Since the first announcement of NBC’s move to adapt Thomas Harris’ “Hannibal” to the small screen, we’ve been on the fence, but the show is quickly shaping up to be one to watch. After signing up Mads Mikkelsen to play the titular role opposite Hugh Dancy’s FBI agent Will Graham, the show has now added Laurence Fishburne, last seen on the small screen in “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation,” as “Jack Crawford, the head of the FBI’s behavioral sciences unit.”

While he's been one of the most bankable stars in Hollywood over the past decade or so, when Johnny Depp commits to a role -- he really goes all in. Sure he probably took his paycheck for "The Tourist" with shame, but he's capable of standing out within the blockbuster fluff of films like the recent "Dark Shadows" and pretty much all of the "Pirates of the Caribbean" series, and is even up for some righteous self parody on shows like Ricky Gervais' "Life's Too Short" and a particularly violent homage wink to the show that helped garner him his initial notoriety in this year's "21 Jump Street." Though for those who long for the early days of Depp -- especially when his work with director Tim Burton was of the more satisfying variety -- then you're in for a treat.
