Especially as projection booths worldwide are being ported over to humming boxes of digital data, it may hold some value to remember that there were once live people up there calling the shots. New York photographer Joseph O. Holmes has been tracking this shift closely, and in 2012 he finished a photo series on just that -- the city’s projectionists and their workplaces. Those snapshots are currently on view at New York’s Museum of the Moving Image, but Holmes also completed a short film tribute to the projection booth that you can check out now.

In another age, when red-blooded males like Norman Mailer roamed the earth, the absolute most rebellious-chic thing you could do as a writer was be interviewed by Playboy. And thus it has come to pass, 40-odd years later, it's still a thing and Chuck “Fight Club” Palahniuk has given an interview to Hustler (read it here), the younger, naughtier sibling to Hugh Hefner's creation. And lo, he has spoken of a “Fight Club 2.”

While it’s probably fair to say that most people are more familiar with the David Fincher-helmed 1999 adaptation, Chuck Palahniuk’s novel “Fight Club” still has its share of adoration. It’s been seventeen years (!!!) since the original novel’s publication and it seems the infamous author still has an itch to return the world of Tyler Durden and Project Mayhem.
