Twenty-Four By Thirty-Six
Are you one of those film lovers who pine for the glory days of beautiful movie art and complain about the laziness of photoshopped, “the star’s giant head in front of an orange and teal background” modern film posters? The good news is that you’re far from alone, as evidenced here, there, and everywhere on the internet. The new trailer for the documentary "Twenty-Four by Thirty-Six" pays homage to the great painted movie posters of yesteryear, while reminding audiences that this passion is still alive in fans who create more artful and attractive posters than the studios themselves ever bother to make.

Over the course of two seasons, Aaron Sorkin's "The Newsroom" has provided some of the best hate-watching on TV. At its the finest, the show has been absolutely compelling, sharp, funny and even moving with Jeff Daniels doing some great work as newscaster Will McAvoy. But at it's worst, is has been clichéd, tone deaf and frustrating, particularly when it comes to the relationships between characters. Sorkin has a chance to go out on high note with the third an final season of "The Newsroom," and the first teaser trailer has now arrived.

Far From Men, Viggo Mortensen
You may have noticed a change in actor Viggo Mortensen in the last few years. The actor’s last major studio effort was “A History of Violence” in 2005 and even then it was a David Cronenberg project. Aside from mini-major studio projects like The Weinstein Company's "The Road" and Sony Pictures Classics "A Dangerous Method" (both of them still relatively small, limited release pictures), the actor has steered away from major studio work. And in recent years, that’s been even more pronounced.

 'Amityville: The Awakening'
We're not sure what's scarier, the true story of "The Amityville Horror," or the fact that the franchise has now spawned twelve movies, the last being 2013's straight-to-video "The Amityville Asylum." But now a new theatrical entry is coming to bring the classic series back on the big screen.

This summer, Michael Bay cranked up the patriotism and tedium with "Transformers: Age Of Extinction," and the movie earned over $1 billion worldwide. So, yes, cinema is dead. But anyway, the filmmaker has certainly perfected a particular kind of formula that seems to work to sell tickets by the Victoria's Secret truckload. And it involves lots of explosions.

Queen Of Carthage
Pursuing a moviemaking career in Hollywood requires landing an agent, hustling to countless auditions and table reads, networking, and keeping your face in the mix hoping that someone will roll the dice on you. However, generating your own material is another way to not only stand out, but create the kind movie you want to be part of. And Shiloh Fernandez ("Red Riding Hood," "White Bird In A Blizzard," "Evil Dead") has done just that with "Queen Of Carthage."

Young Ones
A film that had our own Rodrigo Perez, "thinking about, chewing on and lingering [on]" after seeing it at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year, "Young Ones" seems like the kind of smart, original movie that genre fans should flip for. And a new trailer is here to take you into the dusty, treacherous world conjured by director Jake Paltrow.

Annabelle
So, while Luc Besson can't wrack his brain to find one good idea for a "Lucy" sequel, the folks behind "The Conjuring" have their franchise gears firmly moving forward. A sequel is coming next year, but a prequel titled "Annabelle" will drop first, providing you with the crucial backstory you will need for all the jump scares.
