Already screening to critic types and with DVDs already in the hands of voters, Universal is getting the word out for Judd Apatow's "This Is 40." They're leaving no marketing stone unturned (not even Megan Fox's breasts), and now a new international trailer has arrived with just a bit more footage to make it worth your while.

As the man behind such films as "Cinema Paradiso," "The Star Maker" and "Malena," there was an era when Italian filmmaker Giuseppe Tornatore was a familiar name at the arthouse. However, it has been a while since he's had a movie arrive stateside with quite the same attention as those pics, but "The Best Offer" could change that.

In case Eugene Jarecki's recent documentary "The House I Live In" didn't get the message across: the war on drugs isn't working and is penalizing people with dranconian laws that do nothing to stop the trafficking and use of narcotics. But the war on drugs hasn't met the likes of Dwayne Johnson.

Perhaps no genre of film has as low a rate of return as the romantic comedy. Even horror films have the occasional subversive festival gem to prop up fan interest every so often, but serious fans of the rom-com are reduced to getting their jollies from the amiable, but botched likes of "Crazy Stupid Love" and "The Five-Year Engagement," films which are no great shakes, but look like masterpieces compared to stuff like "Something Borrowed" and "New Years Eve," that makes up most of the films of this type. We're a long way from "When Harry Met Sally," or even "Bridget Jones' Diary."

Looks like this is the film set to test your patience over the upcoming holiday season. Andy Fickman, whose credits include “She’s The Man,” “The Game Plan” and “Race to Witch Mountain,” directs “Parental Guidance,” which sees Billy Crystal and Bette Midler agreeing to look after their three grandchildren when the kids’ parents have to leave town. Hilarity inevitably ensues when their parenting methods clash with the current child-rearing culture, and when Billy Crystal just generally does his schtick.

Back in 2006, "Ice Age" director Chris Wedge announced that his next directorial effort would be "Leaf Men," based on the William Joyce children's book "The Life Men and the Brave Good Bugs." (Joyce also conceived and co-produced this week's big animated extravaganza, "Rise of the Guardians.") Fox, the company that owns Blue Sky Studios, the animation studio that Wedge co-founded and runs out of a Greenwich, Connecticut campus, was unimpressed with his proposal and Wedge very nearly packed his bags, bringing the project to Pixar and his old chum John Lasseter (they had worked together on "TRON"). In 2009, Fox agreed to give "Leaf Men" the greenlight and now, in 2012, we're finally seeing the final, long-form trailer, now titled "Epic." If nothing else it looks like it lives up to its new name.

Still without a proper U.S. release date (Annapurna Pictures has the rights, but hasn't paired with a distributor yet), we're taking what we can get from Wong Kar-Wai's "The Grandmasters," even if it means watching a behind-the-scenes documentary on the film without any subtitles. But thankfully, someone has come to the rescue and at least given us a better understanding of the full length trailer.

Next summer is, as usual, going to be competitive; there's the usual mix of superhero sequels ("Iron Man 3," "The Wolverine"), animated sequels ("Monsters University,""Despicable Me 2"), R-rated comedy sequels ("The Hangover Part III") and just general sequels ("Star Trek Into Darkness," "Fast & Furious 6," "Kick-Ass 2"). As such, original fare is going to have a trickier time of it, but Summit is getting started early with their magician heist movie "Now You See Me," debuting a trailer in front of their golden goose "Twilight" this weekend.
