Supermensch: The Legend Of Shep Gordon
There are some people who were just made for fame, and legendary promoter/manager Shep Gordon is one of them. His story of moving to Los Angeles and running into Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix and Jim Morrison at the same time is the stuff of mythology, and his career managing some of the biggest names ever is epic. Now, Mike Myers (yes, Austin Powers himself) is telling the story in the entertaining documentary "Supermensch: The Legend Of Shep Gordon," and the first trailer is here to give you a good idea of what to expect.

REC 4: Apocalypse
Hey wait, they're still making these? In case you missed on the barely there sensation, in 2007, Jaume Balagueró and Paco Plaza turned horror heads with their riff on the found footage genre, "[REC]." It was reasonably effective take on the style, and it caused enough of a stir that two years later Hollywood dropped a remake that one really cared about. But the original franchise kept going with "[REC] 2" dropping in 2009, followed by "[REC] 3: Genesis" in 2012. And now another installment is coming, "[REC] 4: Apocalypse," with Balagueró back behind the camera for this time since the first sequel, and it looks like not much has changed.

Jessabelle
Jason Blum has a strategy: make 'em fast, make 'em cheap, hope they stick. When you're not spending much money, that means you're not taking much risk, and that allows for a greater reward if it pays off. And so the guy behind "Paranormal Activity," "The Purge," "Sinister" and "Insidious" is rolling the dice again with "Jessabelle."

And so here we are with two new green band spots for a couple of big summer comedies, hoping to make you chuckle without dropping an f-bomb or showing any boobs.

The Grand Seduction
If you are a member of the Brendan Gleeson fan club (and really, who isn’t?), then this summer should be a blast for you. While you are most likely aware of his upcoming film “Calvary,” which premiered at this year’s Sundance Film Festival to solid buzz and comes out this August, you may be surprised to learn that he co-stars in yet another comedy this year. That film would be “The Grand Seduction,” which finds Gleeson starring alongside Taylor Kitsch. And a new trailer has arrived.

When Evening Falls on Bucharest or Metabolism
It would seem that the new wave of Romanian cinema is already circling back in on itself. With films like "The Death of Mr. Lăzărescu," "12:08 East of Bucharest," "4 Months, 3 Weeks and 2 Days," "Child's Pose" and "Beyond The Hills" highlight the new filmmaking voices emerging from the nation, one director is turn a camera back on that entire scene. "Police, Adjective" director Corneliu Porumboiu has returned with "When Evening Falls On Bucharest Or Metabolism" and it promises a look at the process of making movies from a unique perspective.

Godzilla
Gareth Edwards is not a household name by any stretch, but that may change after "Godzilla" arrives in theatres next month. Warner Bros. (at least thus far) has kept the goodies hidden from view and instead have placed Edwards (and his enthusiasm) at the front of a handful of featurettes, with a couple more dropping in the last week.

Frank Miller's Sin City: A Dame To Kill For
“X-Men: Days Of Future Past” is nearly upon us. What goes on in this movie? Well, the future X-Men meet the past X-Men in hopes of changing the future and therefore rewriting history. What does that mean? Well, probably a chance to undo the continuity of the old “X-Men” movies so that anyone who has died in the past films – Jean Grey, etc. – can be made undead (and conveniently recast in newer films).

Ping Pong Summer
You try and do what you can at film festivals, and sometimes scheduling sleeping/eating/screenings just doesn't work out. So this past January at Sundance, "Ping Pong Summer" just didn't make it onto our radar, but the buzz seemed to be good both there and at SXSW (where we missed it again), but the movie is coming to theaters so perhaps finally we'll see this thing.
