Wolf Creek 2
Yep, it's about ten years since Greg McLean took audiences to the outback and scared them silly with "Wolf Creek." The original only made around $27 million worldwide, but it was enough to spawn this follow-up a decade later, and it looks like it's more harrowing horror in the wilds of Australia.

Halt And Catch Fire
Remember "Low Winter Sun"? Yeah, that didn't quite work out, but luckily for AMC, they've got a few more cards up their sleeve to replace the now finished "Breaking Bad," and the soon to be finished "Mad Men," as the next big hit on the network. And what's most intriguing to us is "Halt And Catch Fire."

Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes
There are two approaches to tentpole marketing. On one side, you have folks like Sony and Marvel, who like to give everyone everything so that before the movie even opens, you feel like you've seen it already. And on other side, carefully plotted campaigns give you just enough to get excited, but save the spectacle for the multiplex. We prefer the latter and hopefully Fox sticks with it for "Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes" (though their track records suggests otherwise).

A Haunted House 2
In case you're wondering who is responsible for "A Haunted House 2," well, everyone is. The cheap, $2.5-million horror spoof "A Haunted House," was dropped into the dumping ground of January last year, and the R-rated effort earned $40 million at the U.S. box office. That's just math you don't argue with. So a sequel has been made, and now the expectations have been slightly raised with a spring release date. But it looks like the budget—or lack of it—remains the same.

Begin Again
So, remember the music industry? Okay, so it still exists, but the notion of an A&R guy stumbling across the next big thing in a local bar and pushing their talent seems rather quaint in an era when artists have no shortage of tools to promote themselves. But we suppose a movie about a musician using Bandcamp, blogs and Facebook to build up their fanbase would be pretty dull, so here we are with "Begin Again" starring Keira Knightley and Mark Ruffalo.

The Purge: Anarchy The Purge 2
What do you do when your little $3 million horror/thriller racks up nearly $90 million, worldwide? You make a sequel. Quickly. And that's just what Universal has done as one year after we experienced "The Purge," they're bringing the mayhem back with "The Purge: Anarchy."

Night Moves
Last week we got the international trailer, and now it all comes home today with a new domestic trailer for Kelly Reichardt's "Night Moves." And it dives into a world where trust is earned, and forever fragile, and where conviction is the biggest weapon of all.

Into The Storm
What on Earth is "Into The Storm"? To be honest, we had no idea about this one either, but Warner Bros. is starting to get the word out about this presumably modestly budgeted disaster flick, in which a tornado wreaks some tremendous havoc.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Megan Fox
There are more than few grown up men and women who are weirdly invested in keeping the integrity of "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" intact in the Michael Bay produced reboot. Strong opinions flew around from all corners last year as the movie headed into production, with everything from the origin of Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello and Michaelangelo to how they look, hotly debated. Well, like it or not, the final result is a few months away and the first trailer has landed online.

Jupiter Ascending
The Wachowskis are back and once again, the fate of the universe is at stake, there's lot of prosthetics and ambitious costumes, and a big sci-fi spectacle being readied to hit the big screen. But here's the thing, post-"The Matrix" the sibling pair haven't exactly been box office titans. "Speed Racer" and "Cloud Atlas" were both high stakes stumbles, and one wonders how much of a shot they'll be given if "Jupiter Ascending" also manages to disappoint.
