Over the net few weeks, as films begin to unspool in Venice, Telluride, Toronto and New York, we'll be beginning to see which films will rise up as awards season contenders, and which will slip away. One film everyone agrees will be in the mix in a big way is Jacques Audiard's "Rust And Bone." After premiering at the Cannes Film Festival this spring, the film hits Toronto this month before arriving in theaters this fall, and a new U.K. trailer is here to remind you this is one to watch.

After premiring at the Cannes Film Festival in May, next month, Walter Salles' "On the Road" will go for round two on the festival circuit as it will arrive at TIFF in a new recut and shorter version of the film. Whether this will solve any of the problems of the film, which according to this writer, was a rather listless pace and inability to capture the adventurer's spirit, the new trailer for the movie is certainly much more upbeat.

In "This Must Be the Place," Sean Penn plays a faded goth rock star named Cheyenne. If that alone doesn't make you chuffed to see this, you can pretty much stop reading right here. But for the rest of us, after premiering at the Cannes Film Festival way back in 2011, the latest from "Il Divo" director Paolo Sorrentino now has a new trailer, and no matter the mixed reviews out of the Croisette, we're kinda dying to see this.

With the Vietnam war raging, one man will make a decision that tests his own morals, ethics and view on American life: fight for his country or go skinny dipping with Teresa Palmer? Yes, those are quandaries Liam Hemsworth faces in "Love and Honor," the kind of movie Channing Tatum used to do.

As you likely already know, Martin McDonagh's "Seven Psychopaths" is one of our most highly anticipated movies of the fall. For one, its cast, which includes Colin Farrell, Woody Harrelson, Christopher Walken and Sam Rockwell to name just a few, rules. Secondly, it's directed and written by McDonagh, the Irish filmmaker behind "In Bruges" and the famed playwright behind such wickedly delicious pitch-black plays as "The Lieutenant of Inishmore," "The Pillowman" and "The Cripple of Inishmaan."

Well, the verdict is in from Venice on hitman thriller "The Iceman" and unfortunately...it's not great. Our man on the ground filed his review this morning and said, "being based on a true story isn’t enough to elevate a film in a well-worn genre ahead of the pack. Fans of [Michael] Shannon might get a kick out of seeing him front-and-center in a film like this, but for everyone else, it’s likely a rental at best." Bummer. And while Shannon does look good, this indeed seems like a missed opportunity.

In our predictions/wishlist yesterday for what we hope will appear at the Telluride Film Festival this weekend, we tossed out a mention to "The Sapphires," the Aussie comedy that The Weinstein Company picked up before the Cannes Film Festival this year, where it premiered. It's currently not on their calendar, but we'd wager it's an awards season wild card Harvey has up his sleeve. Telluride would be a good place to test the waters, and certainly the reception out of TIFF will play a big role as well, but now you can see for yourself if this movie has the goods to go the distance as a new trailer has dropped.

It's interesting to see how films rise or fall during the fall festival season. As critics and industry put together their schedules, a variety of factors determine which movies they'll see and which they'll pass on for now, perhaps to wait for another day. And you can bet when Sony Pictures Classics announced they had acquired Robert Redford's "The Company You Keep" at the end of last week, it suddenly shot up the prirority list for press. And now, this pretty rivieting new trailer will only stoke that anticipation further.

Handjob, blowjob, rimjob, cunnilingus...no, this isn't about the nominees at the next AVN awards, but is instead just a few of the items you'll find on Aubrey Plaza's (character's) list in the naughty comedy, "The To Do List." And seemingly out of nowhere, the movie now has a release date and a brand new trailer to go with it.

With Paris and New York City getting auteur-driven portraits with "Paris, je t'aime" and "New York, I Love You," those movies have inspired producers and filmmakers from around the world to develop their own city-driven projects. And while omnibus films have been percolating in places like Rio, Shanghai, Jerusalem, Berlin and Sydney over the past few years, it's Tbilisi in Georgia that have come out of the gate with the next effort.
