The Art Of The Steal Jay Baruchel
TIFF comes and TIFF goes and there are lots of movies that due to scheduling, the need for sleep and the necessity of food, just don't get in front of our eyes. And this year, one of them was "The Art Of The Steal" which brings together the ragtag crew of Kurt Russell, Jay Baruchel, Matt Dillon and more for a heist comedy. We like heists (check out this feature), we like comedy, but does this work?

Rob The Mob
Michael Pitt, sitcom star Ray Romano, Andy Garcia, Broadway sensation Nina Arianda....wait, what? Yeah, the cast for "Rob The Mob" is a bit all over the place, and even the title is a bit too cutesy but you have to admit, the trailer for this looks far more interesting, particularly as it keeps going, more than you would have previously thought possible.

22 Jump Street
Ordinarily, we're wary of sequels especially for comedies (we love you Will Ferrell, but "Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues" has a huge bar to hit), but we'll say this: the first red band trailer for "22 Jump Street" made us laugh. A lot.

Interstellar trailer
So, is Christopher Nolan's "Interstellar" gearing up to be the biggest blockbuster about agriculture ever? That's certainly the last word on it, as the always secrecy prone filmmaker hasn't let any details yet slip out about his movie.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 Emma Stone
We hope you like the world of Spider-Man that Sony is building, because you're going to be getting a lot of it over the next five to ten years. With the universe plotted out already to 2018 with the release of "The Amazing Spider-Man 4" (which Andrew Garfield claims to have no part of, LOL, whatever), Sony upped the ante by adding two more to the slate: the long developing "Venom" movie that will now be directed by Alex Kurtzman, and "The Sinister Six," being written by Drew Goddard. With all this planning, you might have forgotten "The Amazing Spider-Man 2" is coming next year.

Who is left to guide you if your parents disappear? That seems to be the central question of the latest from Gregg Araki, "White Bird In A Blizzard," with the first teaser trailer arriving and promising a slightly more surreal take on the traditional coming-of-age story.

House Of Cards Season 2 Trailer
Frank Underwood is back for a second helping of "House Of Cards," and it looks like the scheming, duplicitous world of Washington, D.C. is only getting more twisted in the next season of the hit Netflix show.

Edge Of Tomorrow
"It's storytelling. You're going to get the audience used to the experience of it," Tom Cruise told USA Today this week in advance of today's trailer for "Edge Of Tomorrow." "And then you get to have them laugh with it." Does he mean audiences are going to laugh at/with the fact that Cruise's character dies over and over again, to the point that the Doug Liman-directed film already has a built-in and ready hashtag (#LiveDieRepeat—we know you're just dying to use it).

Where does one begin in the critique of Peter Jackson's unnecessarily long "The Hobbit" trilogy? Well, there are many paths to take but as the folks over at ScreenJunkies point out in their latest installment of the Honest Trailers series, "Lord Of The Rings" was based on three books, running roughly 1200 pages long while "The Hobbit" novella is only about 300 pages, and yet both have been turned into epic trilogies. Guess which one feels bloated?

Nicolas Cage Tokarev
We're not sure what language "Tokarev" comes from, but we can only guess that translated into English it means, "collecting a pay check." Boasting low budgets and a pretty wheezy storyline, it's a reminder that for every decent movie Nicolas Cage does—like David Gordon Green's upcoming "Joe"—he's got about five more of these bargain bin efforts in the can.
