No one quite suits the title of Master of Disaster quite like Roland Emmerich, the director behind such bombastically apocalyptic visions as "Independence Day," "Godzilla," "The Day After Tomorrow" and "2012." Emmerich has gleefully destroyed major monuments, turning the White House into kindling and New York City into a giant frozen puddle. In his latest oversized spectacle "White House Down," starring Channing Tatum as a put-upon would-be Secret Service agent and Jamie Foxx as the endangered Commander-in-Chief, Emmerich returns to the location of his most iconic detonation, this time exploring the bonds between father and daughter while also blowing up a lot of stuff and having many people get shot in gloriously violent ways. Earlier today we got a peek at the trailer (which you can watch below) as well as a glimpse of about ten minutes of additional footage. While the movie doesn’t come out until June 28th, we're pretty sure that it's going to be one of the summer's most satisfying blockbusters.

Wish You Were Here, Joel Edgerton, Teresa Palmer
With a membership that includes Joel Edgerton, Nash Edgerton, David Michôd, Spencer Susser and more, it's safe to say that the Blue Tongue Films collective isn't lacking in talent. And while the name Kieran Darcy-Smith might not be the most familiar of the group, he more than matches the talent his colleagues have shown across their projects, and his feature debut "Wish You Were Here" shows another strong filmmaking voice emerging from Blue Tongue.

This is getting ridiculous. After Fox debuted seven seconds of the upcoming trailer for "The Wolverine," the latest Hugh Jackman-with-claws superhero epic, on social media site Vine, they have taken to generously providing the world with twenty whole seconds of footage, this time courtesy of MTV. And what of the twenty seconds? Well, they do look promisingly cool, even if, the entire time, we were thinking, Man this would have been infinitely cooler if Darren Aronofsky had followed through. Snikt!

Marvel Studios are usually pretty tight-lipped about spoilers in their movies, but recently they've been lifting the veil. Some fans complained recently that Marvel Chief Kevin Feige was revealing too many spoilers, but apparently the honcho said, these media reveals are not spoilers but "bonuses" (now that's a fun spin). Well, if you want to know some of the goods about "Iron Man 3," come on down, but if you'd rather go in blind, beware, spoiler abound.

With “G.I. Joe: Retaliation” hitting theaters this Friday with more Channing Tatum added, that leaves the Brad Pitt-starring zombie-disaster film “World War Z” as the last of Paramount’s troubled productions that had been pushed back from last year. With "World War Z"'s summer release date lumbering ever closer, the studio has released a new poster for the film.

More so than most summer blockbusters landing this year, "World War Z" has a tough battle in front of it. It might be based on a best-seller and be toplined by megastar Brad Pitt, but it's also a dark, serious PG-13 tentpole that could risk being too terrifying to hit four quadrants, while not having enough gore for the horror fiends. But perhaps more importantly, the film's surfing a wave of bad buzz due to a troubled production that allegedly saw Pitt and director Marc Forster fall out, a delayed release (it was originally set to hit last Christmas), and was apparently troubled enough that it saw the entire third act rewritten and reshot long after production wrapped with a bevy of A-list screenwriters, including Damon Lindelof, Drew Goddard and Christopher McQuarrie brought on with the hope of fixing the problems.

Hero, martyr or threat? Depending on where you stand, WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange is either one of the above or all three, and now Hollywood is coming to tell his story, or at least their version of it. While Benedict Cumberbatch will play the platinum haired whistleblower in this fall's "The Fifth Estate," first out of the gate is Alex Gibney's "We Steal Secrets: The Story WikiLeaks" and it seems like a crash course in everything you need to know about Assange and the group that continues to frustrate authorities worldwide.

In case you've been living under a rock, or were somehow unaware, we hate to break it you: "Breaking Bad" is done this summer. The acclaimed, hit series wraps up the fate of Walter White in just a few months time, and after that, AMC will be left with a considerably big hole in their schedule that they'll need to fill. Could "Low Winter Sun" be the next show we're all going to be talking about?

In case you haven't guessed by now, we're pretty big fans around here of "A Hijacking." Our own Oli Lyttelton raved about the picture in his review when he saw it at the Venice Film Festival last summer, and yesterday we exclusively unveiled the U.S. poster for the movie. But for you readers in the U.K., you're getting it a bit earlier than those of us stateside, and a new trailer has dropped which gives you a pretty good reason why you should buy a ticket.
