Barring a “Shaun of the Dead” or two the horror-comedy sub-genre has recently mostly been littered with Wayans-involved stuff like the “Scary Movie” franchise or this year’s abysmal “A Haunted House.” Now “Reno 911!” and “Night At The Museum” (really) writing-acting duo Thomas Lennon and Robert Ben Garant are making their entry into the pantheon with their directorial debut “Hell Baby.” A new red-band trailer has arrived below so make sure your boss isn’t looking and check it out.

The Grandmaster
Wong Kar-Wai's arthouse martial arts biopic (new genre?) arrives in American theatres next month but it would seem that The Weinstein Company would prefer if you didn't remember that this one is in a foreign language (gasp!). A brand new trailer features the most voiceover we've heard in ages, cuts together a lot of footage -- a lot of it new -- and highlights the kicks and punches. But as for that stuff like acting and plot? Nah, that's for the birds....

Savannah Chiwetel Ejiofor Jim Caviezel
Bet you forgot about this movie didn't you? First announced back in 2011 and shot the same year, it seems we're going to get a double dose of Chiwetel Ejiofor playing a freed slave in 2013. Of course, he's set to lead the hugely anticipated "12 Years A Slave," but he's also got a co-starring role in the forthcoming indie "Savannah," and the first trailer has arrived to give you a peek at another tale dealing with America's slavery past.

When "How To Train Your Dragon" arrived in the spring of 2010 (which feels like eons ago), could anyone have predicted it would earn nearly $500 million worldwide? Frankly, no one knew, but DreamWorks suddenly had franchise material on their hands and they didn't waste a single moment. A Cartoon Network TV series is now on the air, a standalone TV special was created and now they are bringing back Hiccup (Jay Baruchel) and the gang for another big screen adventure in "How To Train Your Dragon 2," and the first teaser trailer is here.

mandela, long walk to freedom
"Today at the edge of our hope, at the end of our time. We have chosen to believe in each other! Today we face the monsters that are at our door, today we are cancelling the apartheid!" Okay, maybe Idris Elba won't be saying that in the upcoming, awards season horse "Mandela: The Lone Walk To Freedom," but the actor will be taking on the challenging role of anti-apartheid crusader Nelson Mandela. It's a tough part for anyone, and it's certainly one that will be studied with even more scrutiny given Mandela's failing health at the moment, but it looks like Elba is up to the challenge.

Out Of The Furnace Christian Bale Woody Harrelson
"RELEAAAAAASSSE MEEEEEEEEEEE," Eddie Vedder bellows all over this first trailer for Scott Cooper's "Out Of The Furnace," adding a pretty dense layer of fromage to what looks like a pretty gritty little drama. Let's hope it's just a case of good movie, not so hot trailer? We'll see, but let's dive in...

Saving Mr. Banks Tom Hanks Emma Thompson
The talent is immense and extensive—Tom Hanks, Emma Thompson, Colin Farrell, Paul Giamatti, Jason Schwartzman, Ruth Wilson and more—the story is interesting (the true tale of Walt Disney's attempt to get "Mary Poppins" made, and it's Oscar chances solidified by having John Lee Hancock, the director behind the feel-good smash hit “The Blind Side,” at the helm. So then why does the first trailer for "Saving Mr. Banks" feel like a long three-minute commercial for the magic of Walt Disney and its resorts?

The Canyons Lindsay Lohan
"I felt that another storyline was developing," director Paul Schrader recently told us about the chatter surrounding "The Canyons," "which was people confusing a troubled production with a troubled film -- people do this all the time. Whereas in fact, there's very little in common [with the two]. Some of the smoothest shoots in the world make terrible movies, and vice versa." And in short, Schrader overcame whatever difficulties landed in his path. He's very proud of the end result, even if the journey was challenging. He is now getting ready to show it off to the world, and a brand new trailer is here to finally unveil what "The Canyons" truly looks like.

Oldboy trailer
There's only ever one way a remake of Park Chan-wook's "Oldboy" was ever going to even a have a chance of approaching an original -- embracing the fact the story requires a hard-R to get told right. And for the first trailer for Spike Lee's take on the material, the studio is making it clear that they've gone right to the limit and then some in bringing it to American audiences. Now the question is: does it work?

Man, Jeff Bridges sure has been slumming it lately. Okay, he suited up wonderfully for "True Grit," but the past few years have mostly seen him sleepwalk through "Tron: Legacy," next weekend's sure to be terrible "R.I.P.D." and next this sure to be turd-tacular "Seventh Son." (Those paychecks must be nice though). Originally slated to be released in February and then this fall, Warner Bros. recently pushed the movie yet again, this time to next January. The last time they did something similar was for one of this year's worst movies, "Gangster Squad." Do the math.
