The Playlist staff like bicker and fight amongst are ourselves about the merits of whatever movie might be in theaters or coming up soon, but one movie that was met with rare collective praise is Lucy Malloy's "Una Noche." Hitting the festival circuit in a big way through 2012, most of us caught up with it at the Tribeca Film Festival and it was easily the highlight of that year. Now, after a long, long wait, it's finally coming to cinemas and a brand new trailer has arrived.

Romeo & Juliet Hailee Steinfeld Douglas Booth
Why does the story of "Romeo & Juliet" continue to resonate hundreds of years after it was first written? Well, it turns out that Bill Shakespeare was onto something as teens and tortured, yearning romance go together like peanut butter and chocolate, and the fundamental story is so good it can be reinvented no small amount of ways and still resonate. This is probably why this year we're getting year another movie version movie, and it will be one that will embrace the period in which it was written.

Gravity, Bullock, Clooney
If the entirety of Alfonso Cuarón’s new 3D space movie “Gravity” is going to be like the series of clips the studio has been releasing over the last couple of days, then we’re fairly certain our heart is going to explode out of our chest, Jeff Fahey-on-“Under the Dome” style. The newest clip, entitled “I’ve Got You” and running at almost two minutes, isn’t all that much different than the others that the studio has released—Sandra Bullock is floating in space, George Clooney is trying to talk her through it, and, on yeah, your jaw will most likely be agape in sheer wonderment and terror.

A Single Shot Sam Rockwell
A hunting accident that leaves a young woman dead and the discovery of a box of cash. What could possibly go wrong? As you might expect, a lot, if that simple premise sets off a chain of events in the upcoming thriller "A Single Shot."

Here's hoping that Warner Bros. is selling the sizzle and not the steak. We're still a couple of months from "Gravity" hitting theaters, but with bows at Venice and TIFF on the horizon, the marketing machine is starting to churn for the film. In case you missed, late last night a single take scene formed the basis of a new trailer for the movie, and another long take teaser has arrived.

So just how long has the Keanu Reeves-starring "47 Ronin" been kicking around? It was originally slated to open last November, before going through a couple more release date bumps, before finally landing on Christmas Day this year. Reports of re-shoots, story changes and more dogged the project, with the budget rumored to have soared to $225 million already (though the studio insists it won't cross $200 million), well past the original $175 million budget. And that's not mention some battles over the edit, though first time filmmaker Carl Rinsch has weathered the storm. And now, we'll see the result and it's... this....

The old adage used to be that in space, no one can hear you scream. But what happens if they can hear you scream, but there's no one around to help? Thousands of miles above the Earth, there isn't much room for error and when disaster strikes in Alfonso Cuaron's "Gravity" it's pretty bracing stuff.
