Will smith
Roland Emmerich may be preparing for the worst with two versions of “Independence Day 2” (one with Will Smith and one without) but at least one thing remains clear: the “After Earth” star hasn't grown sick yet of the sci-fi genre with a newly announced project on his plate., while elsewhere Tim Roth and Gérard Depardieu plan to delve into soccer's behind-the-scenes dealings and Michael K. Williams switches sides of the law.

Hindered by legal precautions, a recently published tell-all memoir and its lead actress dropping out because of that fact, director Abel Ferrara's “Welcome To New York,” his thinly-veiled account of disgraced IMF chief Dominique Strauss-Kahn, seemed like a lost cause. But it seems Ferrara, alongside his star Gerard Depardieu, are too formidable a team to be kept down, because our first glimpse of the film has landed online - and it is appropriately bombastic.

Colin Firth is set to play famed English playwright Noel Coward, in the Willy Holtzman-penned project, “Mad Dogs And Englishmen,” about Coward’s eventful two week-stay at The Desert Inn in Las Vegas in 1995. Although there’s still no director attached, this seems like a great role for the actor to sink his teeth in, as Coward was famous for what Time called “a sense of personal style, a combination of cheek and chic, pose and poise.” So we’ll be definitely be looking forward to this project in the future.

Keifer Sutherland, Gerard Depardieu, Thomas Jane Are Already AttachedCall it a comeback? Well, not yet. Jodie Foster's "The Beaver" didn't exactly bring Mel Gibson back into the spotlight after his very public rants and raves at then-girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva. The film got mediocre reviews and hasn't exactly returned financially on the $20 million budget. Needless to say, he's got a while before reaching Robert Downey Jr. heights of personal rehabilitation. That doesn't mean he isn't trying, as Variety reports that he's in talks to join Brad Mirman's "Sleight of Hand."

French auteur Francois Ozon’s “Potiche” begins with a scene that seems straight out of a Disney movie; that is, if Sleeping Beauty were wearing a ‘70s-era tracksuit and she happened upon bunnies shagging like, well, bunnies. Catherine Deneuve’s Suzanne Pujol steadfastly treks through the woods, keeping her figure trim for her businessman husband as she composes poetry for the feathered and furry friends who surround her. But as Suzanne walks through an idyllic oasis and returns to her mansion, it becomes clear that her life is no fairy tale.
