Girl Most Likely
In 2011's "Bridesmaids," former 'SNL' star Kristen Wiig crafted the perfect vehicle for her comedic talents. The screenplay (which she co-wrote with fellow Groundling Annie Mumolo) allowed the comedienne to display her comedy chops and also flex some previously unseen dramatic muscles. Her character in the film was kind of a screw up who blamed others for her problems and for all the film's broader moments, there was still a core of emotional truth. In the year since that film's runaway success the actress has no doubt had countless paycheck roles lobbed at her. But so far she's only appeared onscreen in a supporting role in "Friends With Kids" (alongside many of her "Bridesmaids" costars) and now "Girl Most Likely" (formerly "Imogene"), the latest from filmmakers Robert Pulcini & Shari Springer-Bergman ("American Splendor," "The Nanny Diaries").

Girl Most Likely
“Girl Most Likely,” which premiered at TIFF last year as “Imogene,” will finally be released theatrically this weekend. It’s understandable if this news surprises you, seeing as how we’ve seen very little marketing from the film so far starring Kristen Wiig and Annette Bening. For the most part, we enjoyed the film, even if it had its share of problems. A trailer was released over two months ago, but despite starring Wiig, we haven’t heard or seen much else regarding the film. What’s the deal? Well, with a week to go, the marketing spring is underway for the movie with four clips unleashed on the interwebs, which you can check out below.

Girl Most Likely, Kristen Wiig, Annette Bening
Kristen Wiig exploded after the massive success of "Bridesmaids," but unlike Melissa McCarthy, we have yet to see the cinematic rewards be reaped. Her only notable post-'Bridesmaids' turns were a small part in "Friends With Kids" and another little bit in "Friends With Jolly!," but by the end of year, she'll be back on radars thanks to "Anchorman: The Legend Continues" and "The Secret Life Of Walter Mitty" alone. But before both of those, another one of her indie films will be hitting the big screen.

Now that she's gone from "Saturday Night Live," we're entering a new phase of Kristen Wiig's career. The actress already had a monster hit under her belt thanks to "Bridesmaids," but to her credit, she didn't rush into the first paycheck that came along, mixing big-time comedies like this Christmas's duo of "The Secret Life Of Walter Mitty" and "Anchorman: The Legend Continues" with indies like the upcoming "Hateship, Loveship" and "The Skeleton Twins."

Remember Kristen Wiig's post-"Bridesmaids" pet-project comedy "Imogene" which she executive-produced and starred-in? Lionsgate and Roadside Attractions have announced a July 19, 2013 release date for the film, and also a title change. The picture will now be known as "Girl Most Likely."
