Fox Television has managed to find a great deal of success with a couple of their new shows this past year. “Sleepy Hollow” has been a solid hit, “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” recently won two Golden Globes, and even “Almost Human” has been scoring some solid ratings (though a possible second season is still up in the air). Now, Fox hopes to keep the ball rolling by ordering three new TV pilots with notable stars attached to each one.

With filming slated to kick off on "Batman Vs. Superman" this spring, there is only a small window of time left to churn on the rumor mill before the cast for the "Man Of Steel" sequel is firmed up. And the latest has a TV star linked to the super-franchise.

Just a day after “Man of Steel” writer David S. Goyer defended some third act decisions in that film by likening it to a “Superman Begins” with redefined rules, it seems DC Comics was feeling anxious to get another origin story out into the world. With “Superman vs. Batman” standing as the behemoth in the distance for them on the big screen, they've decided to take a cue from Marvel's recent “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D” and shuffle a supporting character into the spotlight for their own series.
