Hans Zimmer’s score for “Days of Thunder” is finally making its way to CD! Shockingly, Zimmer’s score, which also features the guitar stylings of Jeff Beck, has never been officially released on the format until now.

You might not realize it, but composer Hans Zimmer and producer/rapper/entrepreneur Pharrell Williams have a bit of an unlikely musical bromance. The pair not only teamed up for the music of the 2012 Oscar telecast, but have worked together on two films: Zimmer produced the soundtrack for "Despicable Me," which Pharrell wrote the tunes for, while Pharrell was part of the drum orchestra on "Man Of Steel," which Zimmer composed. And now another superhero is bringing them together.

12 Years A Slave
We'd wager that trying to find any kind of merchandise possibilities for a movie called "12 Years A Slave" isn't easy, but we have to admit that an "inspired by" soundtrack isn't the first thing that would come to our mind. And yet, here we are, with full details on the disc that's coming for Steve McQueen's tough, brutal drama.

Hans Zimmer Says Reaction To Ben Affleck As Batman Was "Vicious," Still Undecided About Scoring 'Batman Vs. Superman'

Go outside and ask anyone what they think about Ben Affleck as Batman in the forthcoming "Man of Steel" sequel and they'll have an opinion set in stone, one way or the other. The reaction to his casting in "Batman Vs. Superman" has been hyperbolic in some quarters, with judgments already being pronounced long before even a piece of footage has been shot. We suppose that's just par for the course when it comes to any beloved character or franchise (prepare to watch the Internet convulse whenever the "Star Wars: Episode 7" cast is revealed), but for "Man of Steel" composer Hans Zimmer, he was a bit dismayed to see how it played out.

There has been a lot of weeping and gnashing of teeth in certain corners of the internet over the casting of Ben Affleck as Batman in "Superman Vs. Batman." And even though we're still a long time away from seeing any footage or having an idea of what the story will be, some folks have their mind made up. So you can understand why Warner Bros. might've wanted to cushion Affleck for the blows he'd receive online after the announcement was made, but according to the actor, he was more than ready to roll with the punches. At least at first.

Heading into a hairpin turn before its release next month, Ron Howard's "Rush" will first have to get around the curve at TIFF, where he hopes audiences will shift into first gear for his true story racing drama. And with the movie getting ready to cross the finish line, a few more previews for the movie have rushed online. (Sorry, we're feeling punny today.)

Amazing Spider-Man 2
Worried that, like "X-Men: Days Of Too Many Characters," Marc Webb's "The Amazing Spider-Man 2" is overflowing with too many villains and characters? Well, for one, the producers know this too and they cut out the role of Mary Jane Watson (played by Shailene Woodley) from the film, to save the character for the third film (more on that in a sec). And as for the various villains that could build to the Sinister Six (Of Too Many Antagonists In One Movie), fear not, Webb says Electro (Jamie Foxx) is the focus of the sequel while The Rhino's (played by Paul Giamatti) appearance may be smaller than expected

Just next week, audiences will at last glimpse the entirety of “Man of Steel,” and with it another musical offering from composer Hans Zimmer. The maestro’s presence on Zack Snyder’s Superman origin story is logical, given the Christopher Nolan producer connection, but if you wanted an early confirmation as to Zimmer’s next collaboration with the “The Dark Knight” director, look no further.
