We haven't paid attention to the Grammys in years, mostly because it's irrelevant, these days we're barely familiar with half the nominees, and the show is usually pure tedium. (Don't even get us started on that Beach Boys tribute thing last year.) But for movie buffs looking to maintain their awards season high, yesterday's announcement of Grammy nominees did bring with it some films that are looking to collect gold from their pals in the music biz.

It looks like "ABC World News" -- for those that will watch national news telecasts -- got a makeover recently, with some snazzy new graphics, a fresh logo and more, but the biggest change that film nerds will want to take note of is the show's theme. It has been redone by none other than "The Dark Knight" and "Inception" composer Hans Zimmer.

Much of the lead up to "The Dark Knight Rises" saw everyone involved keep their mouths shut regarding any details at all about the movie. Christopher Nolan's desire for secrecy kept pretty much every aspect of the production on lockdown, but now that the movie is in theaters, the curtain can be opened up a lot more.

Over an unexpected and sad weekend, "The Dark Knight Rises," a film anticipated by millions for several years at this point, finally came to theaters. And judging by the film's opening weekend, thought to be around $160 million and the biggest ever for a 2D film, most of you caught it this weekend, unbowed by the sad events of early Friday morning in Colorado.

Perhaps it’s due to the fact that the summer hasn’t had the one requisite film that wholly delivers on spectacle arrive yet, but anticipation for director Christoper Nolan’s third and final installment in his “The Dark Knight” franchise seems to be continuously mounting – and the film’s studio, Warner Bros., seems to enjoy fanning the flames.

"It's Zack [Snyder]'s movie so it'd be a bit rude of me to turn up and say I've got a few ideas now," Nolan recently said about when asked about his producing role on "Man Of Steel." "My big point of responsibility was helping shepherd David [Goyer]'s script. When I'm finished with this I'll be there for whatever Zack wants from me, but it's very much his movie." Really, Chris?

If you have anyone in your family who is English or French, or if you have a friend who is a diehard football (soccer) fan, you already know that England is playing France today in opening rounds of the Euro Cup. It's easily one of the biggest matches of the tournament (at least so far), between two major rivals, so it's makes sense to put a new TV spot in there for what will be one of the biggest movies of the year as well.

Since making a name for himself with the scores for films like “Rain Man,” “Backdraft” and “Crimson Tide,” Hans Zimmer has become one of the most in-demand composers in the entertainment industry. Remarkably, he’s not just prolific, but enormously acclaimed. In addition to composing sixteen scores -- in 2010 and 2011 alone - Zimmer won an Oscar for “The Lion King” and earned seven more nominations for everything from “Rain Man” to “Inception.” Amazingly, even when it comes to even sequels, Zimmer told The Playlist he’s not interested in resting on his laurels, much less his past accomplishments.

Steven Spielberg has John Williams, J.J. Abrams has Michael Giacchino and Ron Howard has Hans Zimmer. At least lately. The latter helmer has hired on Zimmer for this last four movies -- "The Dilemma," "Angels & Demons," "Frost/Nixon" and "The Da Vinci Code" and they are set to team up once again.
