It's been six years since husband and wife filmmaking duo Jonathan Dayton and Valerie Faris directed their critical acclaimed indie dramedy "Little Miss Sunshine" which was nominated for four Oscars including Best Picture that year. Their Academy plaudits got them juice, but several projects they attached themselves to just couldn't come together.

Despite their debut feature "Little Miss Sunshine" being the toast of Sundance, becoming a sleeper box-office hit, and picking up a Best Picture Academy Award nomination (as well as winning the Oscars for Supporting Actor Alan Arkin and Michael Arndt's screenplay), directing couple Jonathan Dayton and Valerie Faris have taken a while to follow it up. The filmmakers had various projects circulating, including the adaptation of Tom Perrotta's "The Abstinence Teacher," Demetri Martin's fantastical comedy "Will," which would have co-starred Paul Rudd and Zach Galifianakis, and the long-gestating comedy "Used Guys."

Paul Dano certainly has been lacking in talented on screen sparring partners, and over the years he's impressively shared screen time with Daniel Day-Lewis ("There Will Be Blood"), Steve Carell ("Little Miss Sunshine"), Tom Cruise ("Knight And Day") and Harrison Ford ("Cowboys And Aliens") but in "Being Flynn," he works with the most celebrated actor of them all: Robert De Niro. In the adaptation of the memoir "Another Bullshit Night In Suck City," Dano plays his son, long estranged from his father, who crosses paths with him at the homeless shelter where he works, forcing the pair to face their past.

There are certainly some pretty horrible film titles that get churned out on a regular basis, and while they probably mean little in the grand scheme of things, naming a movie is still something Hollywood takes very seriously. On that note, it looks like a trio of highly anticipated films have had their titles put under the microscope recently, with two now set for changes and one gaining its first name.

While other young actors might be chasing the next hot project, few of Paul Dano's colleagues boast the kind of resume he has already assembled thus far into his career. Earning early notice thanks to turns in "L.I.E." and "The Girl Next Door," he broke out with the comedy smash "Little Miss Sunshine" and has since worked with folks like Paul Thomas Anderson ("There Will Be Blood"), Spike Jonze ("Where The Wild Things Are"), Ang Lee ("Taking Woodstock"), James Mangold ("Knight & Day") and Jon Favreau ("Cowboys & Aliens"). Not bad. And in 2012, he's already showing off a diverse slate from the indie "For Ellen" (that recently premiered at Sundance) to Rian Johnson's forthcoming sci-fi trip "Looper." And next month, he spars with Robert De Niro in "Being Flynn." We recently caught up with the actor and discussed some of things he's working on year.

With rumors of an "Arrested Development" film refusing to die, stars of the defunct Fox show continue to ride the wave of the cult classic. Jason Bateman and Michael Cera have obviously made the most of their time on the Ron Howard-narrated show, but another star is beginning to spread her wings as well.

With five years elapsed since their last directorial effort, "Little Miss Sunshine," Jonathan Dayton and Valerie Faris are certainly coming back in a big way. The duo have teamed with real-life couple Paul Dano and Zoe Kazan to bring a script by Kazan to the screen, assembling a terrific ensemble to tell the Charlie Kaufman-esque story of a writer (Dano) who achieves success early in his career but begins to face struggles. As the young protagonist follows the advice of writing the woman he thinks will love him in a bid to overcome his writer’s block, he ends up willing her into existence.

'The Daily Show' Correspondent Aasif Mandvi Also Circling A RoleIt says something about directors Jonathan Dayton and Valerie Faris, that half a decade since they rocked the indie movie world with "Little Miss Sunshine," that they are able to assemble the kind of cast they have lined up for "He Loves Me." Written by actress Zoe Kazan, the project is a meta-strange sounding road-trip film that centers on Calvin (Paul Dano) a young novelist who achieves success early in his career but begins to face struggles. As the young protagonist follows the advice of writing the woman he thinks will love him in a bid to overcome his writer’s block, he ends up willing her into existence. Annette Bening is also on board as Calvin's concerned and artistic Mom. It's a concept worthy of Charlie Kaufman and ripe with potential so no wonder this thing is packing itself full of stars.

It’s been five far too long years since Jonathan Dayton and Valerie Faris' indie smash hit “Little Miss Sunshine” but they are coming back with vengeance. Their next project set up at Fox Searchlight is a meta, Charlie Kaufman-esque comedy, and they've snagged a four time Oscar nominee to join the gang of young thesps that includes Paul Dano and Zoe Kazan.

It’s been five years since 2006’s “Little Miss Sunshine” and while directing duo Jonathan Dayton and Valerie Faris have had several projects in development, earlier this year it was finally revealed the duo were pushing forward with "He Loves Me." Written by actress Zoe Kazan who will co-star in the picture with her real-life boyfriend Paul Dano, the project is a meta-strange sounding road-trip film that centers on a young novelist who achieves success early in his career but begins to face struggles. It has been described as a blend of “Adaptation” and “Weird Science,” as the young protagonist follows the advice of writing the woman he thinks will love him in a bid to overcome his writer’s block. Here’s the strange part, through this odd exercise he ends up willing her into existence.
