We know what Warner Bros.' tentatively titled “Batman Vs. Superman” is about. Tired, aged and embittered Batman faces off against, younger, more naïve Superman (we kinda guessed as much in the early days). Their moral codes are already at odds. Batman more akin to vigilante, Superman skewing closer to every day hero (though like we said, expect Batman to exploit the fact that Superman killed Zod). While not a direct adaptation of Frank Miller’s “The Dark Knight Rises” graphic novel, the friction between the two heroes—essentially the differences in said values—is the perfect jumping off point for “Batman Vs. Superman.”

To The Wonder, Olga Kurylenko
Rumors have been swirling around the Internet for several days now: Wonder Woman is going to make some kind of appearance, or have a significant role in “Batman Vs. Superman.” Actress and “Thor 2: The Dark World” goddess Jaimie Alexander recently became a woman in question because she revealed that she had been having conversations with WB about the superhero team-up film and knew what the plot was about. Oh course, that speculation led many to assume she’d be playing the Amazonian heroine.

Two filmmakers are currently trying to get to the top of an "Everest" film first: Doug Liman and Baltasar Kormakur. But the question is which one will get there first as one has lost a lead, and the other some financing.

Comic Book Issues: Larry Fong To Photograph 'Man Of Steel' Sequel, Wolverine Was Almost In 'Spider-Man'

Man of Steel, Superman
When "Man of Steel" was released this past summer, it didn't feature a key member of director Zack Snyder's creative brain trust: cinematographer Larry Fong, a contemporary of J.J. Abrams' (they grew up together) who furnished Snyder with the almost plastic visuals for "300," "Watchmen" and "Sucker Punch." Fong was replaced by "Transformers: Dark of the Moon" cinematographer Amir Mokri, but that appears to have been a blip: Fong is back for the still-untitled "Man of Steel" sequel that will pit Batman against Superman in a no-holds-barred superhero rumble. And if you like superheroes coming together, wait for the story about how Wolverine was almost in "Spider-Man."

Jared Harris
Jared Harris is one of those actors who, no matter the size or quality of the role, we still get excited about seeing onscreen (case in point: the otherwise abysmal "The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones"). Harris, the son of the legendary Richard Harris, makes any movie infinitely more memorable by his mere presence, adding some much-needed color to even the dreariest of studio affairs. Thankfully, a couple of said studio affairs are getting significantly less dreary thanks to Harris: the actor has recently signed on to costar in both Guy Ritchie's big budget "Man from U.N.C.L.E." and the "Poltergeist" remake for "Monster House"-director Gil Kenan.

Well this is something of a surprise: Ben Affleck, former heartthrob turned legitimate film director, will once again don a tight, restrictive outfit as Batman in Zack Snyder's "Man of Steel" sequel. The new, currently untitled movie, is scheduled for release by Warner Bros in the jam-packed summer of 2015, will pit the Man of Tomorrow (played once again by Henry Cavill) against the Dark Knight. Affleck previously saved a crime-plagued city as the Man Without Fear in 2003's underwhelming "Daredevil" and played George Reeves, who starred in the fifties TV show "Adventures of Superman," in "Hollywoodland." We wonder if he's already started working on his gravely Batman voice already (probably, yes).

OK, we’re finally catching up with this near-exhausting week. Last weekend at Comic-Con, director Zack Snyder and Warner Bros. unveiled a huge bombshell. Nope, not a “Man Of Steel” sequel or a “Justice League” movie. Instead they unexpectedly went laterally and announced an untitled “Superman and Batman” film (perhaps much to the lament of pure Superman fans who are probably still reeling from the fact that the masked crimefighter just hijacked a second “Man Of Steel” right out from under them).

What Kind Of Batman Will Superman Face
This weekend at Comic-Con Warner Bros dropped a bombshell: instead of announcing a sequel to this summer's "Man of Steel" (or a full-on "Justice League" movie), they revealed they would instead be bringing a Batman/Superman team-up movie to the big screen. Once again overseen by the "Man of Steel" team of director Zack Snyder and writer David S. Goyer (with Christopher Nolan taking a distant executive producer role this time around) the movie will likely retain much of the "Man Of Steel" cast (including Amy Adams and Laurence Fishburne), while folding in a presumably new Batman mythology. What they didn’t say was who would be putting on the cape and cowl. Let the speculation begin!

Superman & Batman Movie For 2015
This is unexpected news. Warner Bros.' Comic-Con panel isn't until later today, but apparently some major news is about to be announced. The L.A. Times' Hero Complex blog is reporting that the studio has decided what their follow-up film to "Man Of Steel" is going to be, and not it's not a Superman sequel or a "Justice League" film. According to the newspaper's blog, WB intends to announce a film that features Superman and Batman together; a team-up movie as it were. A 2015 release is being eyed. Update: A "Flash" movie is being eyed for 2016, and a "Justice League" movie for 2017.

Man of Steel
Is there a more loaded and fractious divide on a tentpole this year than Warner Bros. “Man Of Steel”? Yes, it made a ton at the box-office (though it was only the 15th biggest opening of all time, well below “Iron Man 3”), but audiences and critics have been heavily divided. One could argue that the movie has split people even more than the ending of Christopher Nolan’s “The Dark Knight Rises.” Movie writers have been gunning for each other's throats on Twitter, audiences are tearing each other apart in comments sections -- it’s all a bit of madness. And everyone feels like they have to weigh in. James Franco’s reviewed it, Kevin Smith has reviewed it and so has “Prometheus” writer Damon Lindelof.
