What Kind Of Batman Will Superman Face
This weekend at Comic-Con Warner Bros dropped a bombshell: instead of announcing a sequel to this summer's "Man of Steel" (or a full-on "Justice League" movie), they revealed they would instead be bringing a Batman/Superman team-up movie to the big screen. Once again overseen by the "Man of Steel" team of director Zack Snyder and writer David S. Goyer (with Christopher Nolan taking a distant executive producer role this time around) the movie will likely retain much of the "Man Of Steel" cast (including Amy Adams and Laurence Fishburne), while folding in a presumably new Batman mythology. What they didn’t say was who would be putting on the cape and cowl. Let the speculation begin!

Superman & Batman Movie For 2015
This is unexpected news. Warner Bros.' Comic-Con panel isn't until later today, but apparently some major news is about to be announced. The L.A. Times' Hero Complex blog is reporting that the studio has decided what their follow-up film to "Man Of Steel" is going to be, and not it's not a Superman sequel or a "Justice League" film. According to the newspaper's blog, WB intends to announce a film that features Superman and Batman together; a team-up movie as it were. A 2015 release is being eyed. Update: A "Flash" movie is being eyed for 2016, and a "Justice League" movie for 2017.

Man of Steel
Is there a more loaded and fractious divide on a tentpole this year than Warner Bros. “Man Of Steel”? Yes, it made a ton at the box-office (though it was only the 15th biggest opening of all time, well below “Iron Man 3”), but audiences and critics have been heavily divided. One could argue that the movie has split people even more than the ending of Christopher Nolan’s “The Dark Knight Rises.” Movie writers have been gunning for each other's throats on Twitter, audiences are tearing each other apart in comments sections -- it’s all a bit of madness. And everyone feels like they have to weigh in. James Franco’s reviewed it, Kevin Smith has reviewed it and so has “Prometheus” writer Damon Lindelof.

Man Of Steel, Cavill
If you were anywhere near the internet late last night, you're probably saw social media light up as the first reviews for the Zack Snyder-directed, Christopher Nolan-produced "Man Of Steel" hit the web. This was just a couple of hours after the news arrived that Snyder and screenwriter David S. Goyer were going to return for a fast-tracked sequel, and while a billion dollars remains the benchmark the movie has to reach to be a success, it should be noted that after product/promo tie-ins alone (of which there are over 100, take that "The Internship") the picture has already banked $170 million. But wait, what's the verdict on the actual movie?

Man Of Steel
In the opening scenes of Zack Snyder's “Man of Steel,” the planet of Krypton announces itself with the director's customary visual smorgasbord: canyons bathed in stark golden light, frenzied aerial battles for the planet's future, and a host of CGI creatures and machinery zipping around. It is a garish, worrying sight, saved finally by silence, as a mother laments her son's future on Earth. “We'll never see him walk,” Lara Lor-Van (Ayalet Zurer) quietly says to her husband, Jor-El (Russell Crowe, solid throughout his considerable role). The line connects, both actors retrieving the film from gaudy chaos for a moment of humanity; the child departs, leaving his parents to their planet's fate. Thankfully, down on Earth, we proceed to see him walk, run, and then fly in Snyder's impressive, bold take on the Superman mythology -- one that strains under its helmer's indulgent action tendencies, but succeeds on heart where brawn will not.

Man Of Steel
We’re officially a week away from the “Man of Steel” flying into theaters and I couldn’t be more thrilled. How the final product will turn out is still up in the air, but I have to say that this has been a fine promotional run for Warner Bros. I haven’t seen a single bit of footage or trailer that has dissuaded me from seeing this film on June 14th. Speaking of which, we have the latest TV spot and two new clips which you can view below.

Man of Steel, press conf
"I get my evil from Satan. I drink it. It hurts. But then I take some Pepto and the pain goes away," Michael Shannon joked yesterday in typically mischievous fashion regarding his villain character Zod at the "Man Of Steel" press conference in Los Angeles. Yep, Zack Snyder's Superman movie is only 14 days away, press in L.A. have seen it (including us) and reviews should be hitting closer to release. More from the press conference soon, but more immediately, Warner Bros. has released 47 "new" images from the movie, some of them that you've already seen in lo-rez fashion and some that you haven't seen before, period.

Confident much, Warner Bros.? Tom Cruise may have abruptly exited "The Man From U.N.C.LE.," the studio's spy action thriller which Guy Ritchie will direct, but acting quickly, the studio has already found a would-be replacement. And while he's far from a household name yet, the actor, British thespian Henry Cavill is set to play Superman in WB's "Man Of Steel" this summer, and clearly the studio is feeling good about the film's box-office chances and therefore by proxy, launching the actor near the A-list.
