While during the "Immortals" panel in Hall H at Comic-Con 2011, lead actor Henry Cavill remained relatively quiet and stayed mostly mum on his upcoming role of a lifetime as Superman in Zack Snyder's "Man of Steel," he did allow that the story is "one of the best scripts I’ve ever read.”

Tarsem Says His Greek Gods Epic Is More "Hardcore" Than The Trailers SuggestPlaylist scribe Kimber Myers down at Comic-Con 2011 sounds both confounded and dazzled from the footage of filmmaker Tarsem Singh's "Immortals" that she and countless other fans saw this afternoon at the convention's hallowed Hall H. Something had to give, and right in the middle of Comic-Con no less! Warner Bros. has officially moved the Christopher Nolan-produced, Zack Snyder directed, Superman movie "Man of Steel" from December 2012 to June, 14, 2013. December 2012 is already stacked: Fox's "Life Of Pi," Quentin Tarantino's "Django Unchained," Disney's "Lone Ranger" and perhaps more importantly, a competing WB film, Peter Jackson's "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey."

The teaser trailer for Tarsem's "Immortals" has been unveiled on E! News with their signature, annoying voice over and, while only a bootleg version is available so far, it seemingly exhibits a highly-stylized swords-and-sandals pic very much in the vein of Zack Snyder's "300."

Henry Cavill is going to be facing the media gauntlet in the run-up to "Superman" and it will be unlike anything the actor has experienced before. With the production likely to be kept tightly under wraps -- with Christopher Nolan producing, the film will probably face the same levels of secrecy as his own movies -- Cavill will quickly have to learn the game of answering questions but not giving away the surprises that Zack Snyder has in store. And from his first press rounds for "Immortals" at WonderCon, the actor seems to be a quick study. We caught up with the actor -- along with the rest of cast -- who were meeting with press for Tarsem's upcoming epic and while there were no big reveals his excitement was palpable.

After shacking up with Batman's brother in "The Fighter," Amy Adams is set to become Superman's dame. According to the L.A. Times, Zack Snyder has found his Lois Lane for the upcoming "Superman" project slated for a late 2012 release, and it's Oscar nominee Adams, who will step into the iconic workaholic high heels. If the rumors are to be believed (and not all of them are), Adams beat out less-pedigreed competition in Kristen Stewart, Jessica Biel, Rachel McAdams, Malin Ackerman, Dianna Agron, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Amanda Seyfried, Olivia Wilde, Mila Kunis, Lindsay Lohan, Natalie Portman, Anne Hathaway, Abe Vigoda, Bristol Palin, Justin Bartha, Elizabeth Bathory, Ms. Pac-Man... rumors are rumors, we suppose.

Like any casting run-up for any comic/franchise/tentpole film, a number of actors were rumored and wishlisted, but the names that were in the final running for Zack Snyder's "Superman" included Matthew Goode, Matthew Bomer, Armie Hammer, Joe Manganiello and Colin O’Donaghue. However, what eventually landed Henry Cavill the gig was something as simple as those in the audition room not giggling when he came out dressed in the iconic suit.
