Something had to give, and right in the middle of Comic-Con no less! Warner Bros. has officially moved the Christopher Nolan-produced, Zack Snyder directed, Superman movie "Man of Steel" from December 2012 to June, 14, 2013. December 2012 is already stacked: Fox's "Life Of Pi," Quentin Tarantino's "Django Unchained," Disney's "Lone Ranger" and perhaps more importantly, a competing WB film, Peter Jackson's "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey."

The teaser trailer for Tarsem's "Immortals" has been unveiled on E! News with their signature, annoying voice over and, while only a bootleg version is available so far, it seemingly exhibits a highly-stylized swords-and-sandals pic very much in the vein of Zack Snyder's "300."

Henry Cavill is going to be facing the media gauntlet in the run-up to "Superman" and it will be unlike anything the actor has experienced before. With the production likely to be kept tightly under wraps -- with Christopher Nolan producing, the film will probably face the same levels of secrecy as his own movies -- Cavill will quickly have to learn the game of answering questions but not giving away the surprises that Zack Snyder has in store. And from his first press rounds for "Immortals" at WonderCon, the actor seems to be a quick study. We caught up with the actor -- along with the rest of cast -- who were meeting with press for Tarsem's upcoming epic and while there were no big reveals his excitement was palpable.

After shacking up with Batman's brother in "The Fighter," Amy Adams is set to become Superman's dame. According to the L.A. Times, Zack Snyder has found his Lois Lane for the upcoming "Superman" project slated for a late 2012 release, and it's Oscar nominee Adams, who will step into the iconic workaholic high heels. If the rumors are to be believed (and not all of them are), Adams beat out less-pedigreed competition in Kristen Stewart, Jessica Biel, Rachel McAdams, Malin Ackerman, Dianna Agron, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Amanda Seyfried, Olivia Wilde, Mila Kunis, Lindsay Lohan, Natalie Portman, Anne Hathaway, Abe Vigoda, Bristol Palin, Justin Bartha, Elizabeth Bathory, Ms. Pac-Man... rumors are rumors, we suppose.

Zack Snyder Says That Film Is His 'Most Realistic' Movie, Temporarily Forgetting Gritty Documentary-Style Realism Of 'Legends of the Guardians: The Owls Of Ga'Hoole' While the world and their wife are currently debating the role that Joseph Gordon-Levitt will be playing in "The Dark Knight Rises" (we don't want to add to the fuss, but we met someone down at the pub last night who swore up and down that he'll be King Tut), Zack Snyder is quietly assembling his cast for the other big DC Comics movie of 2012, "Superman: Man of Steel." British actor Henry Cavill landed the title role at the start of the year, and Diane Lane and Kevin Costner have been cast (perfectly, it should be said) as his adoptive parents, Martha and Jonathan Kent.

Like any casting run-up for any comic/franchise/tentpole film, a number of actors were rumored and wishlisted, but the names that were in the final running for Zack Snyder's "Superman" included Matthew Goode, Matthew Bomer, Armie Hammer, Joe Manganiello and Colin O’Donaghue. However, what eventually landed Henry Cavill the gig was something as simple as those in the audition room not giggling when he came out dressed in the iconic suit.

With the news that British actor, and perpetual nearly-man Henry Cavill has been cast as Clark Kent/Superman in the Christopher Nolan-produced, David Goyer-penned, Zack Snyder-helmed reboot of "Superman," things are moving full steam ahead on the last of 2012's big trio of superhero movies.

Colin O’Donaghue Also In The RunningYesterday, massive news broke that Henry Cavill had won the role of Superman in Zack Snyder’s new adaptation for Warner Brothers. Cavill is best known for his work as Charles Brandon on “The Tudors," but as predicted, the role went to a relative unknown, and someone who has experienced his fair share of audition hell. Cavill had been eyed to wear tights for "Batman Begins" and "Green Lantern" (among other franchises) and he even once before landed the role of Superman when it was in McG's hands, but lost the part when the project changed over to Bryan Singer who eventually went with Brandon Routh for "Superman Returns."

It's been a long, hard road for Henry Cavill to becoming the next actor to don the tights for the iconic "Superman." While Hollywood tests many young actors for upcoming franchises, no one has been put through the the audition process more rigorously and for as many high profile gigs as Cavill. He's been on the radar for several major league tentpoles over the years always losing out to another name or having the project fall apart. However, it looks the stars have finally aligned for the young actor as he's netted the part of Clark Kent/Superman in the Zack Snyder directed, Christopher Nolan produced reboot of Warner Bros.' cornerstone comic pic.
