With Daniel Craig back, Sam Mendes confirmed to direct, an official release date set and production moving forward, we'll soon be hearing lots more about casting. But for now, a familiar face from the last six James Bond films will be back.

Theater Veteran Simon Russell Beale Eyed For Role?Earlier today, it was reported that composer David Arnold revealed that the 23rd installment of the 'Bond' franchise was apparently now "back on" after being put on hold by EON Productions earlier this year -- news which we took as a positive sign of things to come more so than any concrete revelation.

It remains to be seen whether reports regarding MGM's post-bankruptcy plans to have the next 'Bond' film out as early as November 2012 will bear out but it certainly sounds like things are picking up.

New Bond Film To Arrive Every Two Years After ThatWe'll try and keep the boring economics of this to minimum because it makes us fall asleep too, but MGM recently officially filed for bankruptcy and began restructuring proceedings that will put the legendary studio back into the business of making movies. As you already know, the first film out of the gate is the long-delayed and highly anticipated "The Hobbit" that will begin filming in February, but it looks like the other massive MGM franchise, the 'James Bond' series, will be headed back to the big screen sooner than we thought.
