Well, the sun has set on another Tribeca Film Festival, but with a packed schedule, we weren't going to have time for everything. That being said, it was a great year for the festival, with more than a handful of surprising films and performances which we broke down in our Best And Brightest Of The 2013 Tribeca Film Festival. But festivals aren't just an opportunity for movies to find an audience, but it's a place for talent to talk, mingle and share anecdotes and while we could find space in our schedule, thank the digital age for preserving these convos.

While it remains to be seen when J.J. Abrams will get to his Lance Armstrong movie that he's producing, now that he's involved in the world of "Star Wars," a rival project is brewing and it's already boasting some great talent.

Review: 'The Campaign' Is A Laughless And Cowardly Political Comedy

There’s always been something insidious about the MPAA ratings system. It has allowed filmmakers to more directly label films as if they were products off the supermarket shelf -- “The Dark Knight Rises” is going to be PG-13, because it’s about a character kids wear on their jammies. “American Pie” is going to be R-rated, because they’re going to talk about sex a whole lot. But sometimes, you wonder if the PG-13 and lower ratings are designed to rescue filmmakers from themselves, forcing them to find creative ways to tell certain stories without the benefits of explicit content. Unfortunately, that train of thought is absent from “The Campaign,” a proudly vulgar idiot festival that wears its sophomoric R-rating on its sleeve, infusing a ripe satirical comedic idea with nonsensical foul content in lieu of character, story and comedic resonance.

Does the idea of Paul Giamatti playing Nikita Khrushchev sound vaguely familiar? Then you might have a very good memory. First announced way back in 2010, this Cold War drama has been brewing over at HBO and now it looks like it's finally building some steam.

If at first you don't succeed, try, try again. About two years ago, reports went around that Warner Bros. were hoping to re-team "A Few Good Men" duo Tom Cruise and Jack Nicholson for "El Presidente." It was denied a couple days later, with reps saying that Cruise wasn't officially attached, but clearly the studio were interested...and they still are, as the project is now surfacing again.

There's one major problem that Jay Roach's political comedy "Dog Fight" faces next year: if the Republican debates have been anything to go by, there's no way that the film, produced by Adam McKay and starring Will Ferrell and Zach Galifianakis as a pair of rival South Carolina politicians, can hope to live up to the absurdity and sheer hilarity of the primary season that kicks off in only a few weeks. Even the comic brains behind Ron Burgundy surely couldn't come up with a world in which Herman Cain and Newt Gingrich are genuine front-runners in a presidential race, right?

Hollywood is a strange beast -- projects come and go every day with a chance to bankrupt everyone but make one or two people a lot of money. This leads to the high demand for sequels, further installments that no one asked for in franchises that should have stopped either after the first film, or even before the pen hit the page. Another 'Austin Powers' hits this sweet spot perfectly, as Mike Myers is about to accept what is likely a huge sum to return in a fourth installment in the spy spoof series, according to HitFix.

Comedian Says Paramount Pictures Are Being "Idiots" About 'Anchorman 2'Playing the Tribeca Film Festival this week is the low-key Will Ferrell film, "Everything Must Go," directed by first-timer Dan Rush. Loosely based on a Raymond Carver short story and co-starring Michael Peña and Rebecca Hall, Ferrell turns in one of his most understated and nuanced performance ever (yes, including "Stranger Than Fiction") as an alcoholic who relapses, causing him to lose his wife, his job and his home which forces him to hold a yard sale on his front lawn in an attempt to start over.
