One film that has been through the ringer time and time again in the past few years is trying its luck once again. Paramount is attempting to give “Ripley's Believe It Or Not” one more shot this time with Academy Award winning screenwriter Eric Roth ("Forrest Gump," "The Insider," "The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button") behind the pen. After being delayed for nearly a year thanks to distributor woes and legal wrangling, the directorial debut of Glenn Ficarra and John Requa (the writers behind "Bad Santa" and directors of the upcoming "Crazy Stupid Love") finally arrives on North American shores. You know what was a super exciting prospect back in March of 2009? The Farrelly brothers making a “The Three Stooges,” film with Sean Penn as Larry, Jim Carrey as Curly and Benicio del Toro as Moe. Cut to more than a year later -- and a lot of back and forth -- and let's face it: that film, at least with that cast, is likely never getting made.

Penguins, She WroteWe have a small degree of hope that Jim Carrey's upcoming family film "Mr. Popper's Penguins" will have something of value for those of us who can now reach the kitchen sink without having to use a chair. The film already boasts a not-too-shabby cast of Carrey, Carla Gugino, Philip Baker Hall, Ophelia Lovibond, David Krumholtz, Clark Gregg, James Tupper and Andrew Stewart-Jones. Now the esteemed and totally awesome Angela Lansbury has come aboard the project.
