Things are beginning to quiet down in Park City, but the Sundance Film Festival will wrap up this week with "Jobs," the first finished biopic about Apple founder Steve Jobs (Sony is also working on an ambitiously structured project penned by Aaron Sorkin). And while it's slated to hit theaters in the spring, a new clip has arrived that gives you a sense of what Ashton Kutcher is like in the lead role...

While Park City is already starting to empty, don't be fooled, as there are plenty more films to come before things wrap up. And one that many are curious about is "Jobs," the biopic of Steve Jobs with Ashton Kutcher in the lead that premieres as the closing night entry of the Sundance Film Festival. But if you're eager to see it soon, you won't have to wait too long.

As always, there will be no shortage of movies based on real life characters at Sundance. "Lovelace," "The Look Of Love," "Big Sur," "Kill Your Darlings" will be offering up cinematic tales based on true people, but perhaps the most high profile of the batch is "Jobs." Yes, it's the movie where Ashton Kutcher is playing pioneering (and late) founder of Apple, Steve Jobs. And it seems the advance word on this one right now, is mostly around Kutcher's uncanny likeness to the tech hero.

The annals of cinema history have seen many a pair of dueling projects treading over the same ground -- think about the two Truman Capote biopics a few years ago, or the dueling Alfred Hitchcock flicks this past fall. And after the death of Steve Jobs in 2011, two projects have joined that storied history. Whereas one has been moving at a slow and steady pace (the Aaron Sorkin-scripted and sure to be higher-budgeted film), the other, lower-budget and Ashton Kutcher-starring film, “Jobs,” has already been completed and is set for a closing night bow at Sundance. In fact, Deadline is reporting that the latter film now has a distribution deal in place with Open Road.

Hugo Weaving continues to switch up big blockbusters and smaller minded fare, and this time he's headed to Australia to star in "Mystery Road" alongside "True Blood" hunk Ryan Kwanten, Jack Thompson, Tony Barry, Tasma Walton, Damian Walshe-Howling, David Field, Trisha Whitton and Siobhan Binge. Written and directed by Ivan Sen ("Toomelah"), the picture will tell the story of an indigenous detective who returns home to find out who killed an indigenous girl. Kwanten will play a pig hunter while Thompson takes the role of an out to pasture pastoralist. Filming is already underway and Aussie distribution is locked up, but if you're an international buyer, give Arclight Films a ring.

A few unorthodox period pieces/biopics are taking form in Steven Soderbergh’s “Behind the Candelabra,” Randal Miller’s “CBGB” and "Jobs" with Ashton Kutcher. And all three are lining up some impressive ensemble casts, so let’s see who is taking over some coveted roles.

Randall Miller's rock 'n' roll tribute "CBGB" has found its female lead with 'Twilight' star Ashley Greene taking on the role of Lisa Kristal, daughter of the Hilly Kristel, the owner of the titular, influential New York club to be played by Alan Rickman. The story follows Kristal as she clashes with her father, ends up as the club's business manager and attends law school all while keeping the club afloat during tough times. The real life Lisa Kristal is, in fact, a producer on the film so authenticity shouldn't be an issue here. Miller is helming from a script he wrote with Jody Savin with several interesting cast members already filled including Taylor Hawkins as Iggy Pop, Mickey Sumner as Patti Smith and Malin Akerman as Debbie Harry.
