RoboCop
After two rather more uptempo trailers selling the familiar tale of "RoboCop" in a slick new package, a fresh international spot takes a more mournful tone, one that puts the emotional arc of the story first and the explosions second. And oh yeah, it features lots of new footage too.

Oh, "The Killing." The U.S. import of the hit Scandinavian show has not gone well. First arriving in 2011, the show served up two frustrating seasons that stretched out a murder mystery, losing the interest and patience of critics and audiences, which lead to its cancellation. But it was soon revived again, with AMC and Netflix teaming up this past summer and delivering a third season that barely played to a bigger audience than the second. And once again AMC canned the show. But it seems you can't keep "The Killing" down for it has lived for yet another day.

Robocop, 2014
While we didn't necessarily want this remake, it has been made, and we have to admit, we're intrigued by "RoboCop." The talent for this is certainly undeniable with "Elite Squad" helmer Jose Padilha guiding a helluva cast—Joel Kinnaman, Gary Oldman, Michael Keaton, Abbie Cornish, Jackie Earle Haley, Michael K. Williams, Jennifer Ehle, Jay Baruchel and Samuel L. Jackson—through futuristic Detroit. But can it even begin to come close to Paul Verhoeven's twisted perfection? Well, this new trailer is going to make a case for it.

Benedict Cumberbatch
Two filmmakers are currently trying to get to the top of an "Everest" film first: Doug Liman and Baltasar Kormakur. But the question is which one will get there first as one has lost a lead, and the other some financing.

As one of AMC’s most successful and critically acclaimed shows nears its finish just a few short episodes away, it seems another of the network’s line-up has halted mid-race. Dogged by mixed reception, cancellation, and then revival by AMC and Netflix, season three of “The Killing” promised a quality return with new supporting cast members and a resolved mystery by its end (not to mention strong reviews too). But while the drama delivered both with its recently aired finale, the efforts weren’t enough to carry the show through to a fourth season.

Well, here it is… After endless speculation and just as many snarky, internet-based remarks, the trailer for the remake of Paul Verhoeven's satirical masterpiece "RoboCop" is here. And it's… something alright.

With "The Killing" back on AMC, "RoboCop" around the corner, along with a role in another Liam Neeson face puncher, "All Nighter," Swedish actor Joel Kinnaman is on his way to becoming a household name. And this next gig will certainly help that along.

We, like a large portion of the rest of the world, really enjoyed the first “Snabba Cash” -- retitled in English to the less-memorable “Easy Money” -- director Daniel Espinosa’s pulsating Swedish crime film that launched both him and soon-to-be “Robocop” Joel Kinnaman onto our radars. We complimented that film on its “tenacious, shark-like energy” and were cautiously optimistic when its international success warranted a sequel.

"The studio would not confirm this, but it seemed intriguing and dishy enough to discuss," says Deadline who we guess are feeling a bit saucy this afternoon, and hell we'll play along with that. Benedict Cumberbatch as the one of the most infamous men and political figures on the planet right now? Yeah, we'd like to see that.
