Reality
If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. And if it is broken, no harm in breaking it further. After the modest, cultier-than-thou successes of killer tire movie “Rubber” and lost dog odyssey “Wrong,” perpetual student filmmaker Quentin Dupieux returns with another iteration of his very narrowly defined field of expertise with “Reality.”

From the director of "Treeless Mountain" and "In Between Days," comes "For Ellen," a bleak and moody-looking picture about a fuck-up rocker also trying to negotiate being a father. However, is it far too late? Directed by So Yong Kim and starring Paul Dano, Shaylena Mandigo with appearances by Jon Heder, Jena Malone, Dakota Johnson, and Margarita Levieva, "For Ellen" doesn't exactly look like a great time at the movies, but it does seem to feature a commanding performance by Dano. And perhaps one we've never seen from this young actor.

If you glanced at Twitter or any of your RSS feeds today, you may noticed that the internet is currently buzzing as Kanye West and Jay-Z's collaborative album Watch The Throne hit iTunes at midnight today and everyone was rocking it on their way to work this morning. Early word is strong on the album, which isn't surprising, and the album boasts a number of excellent samples which again, isn't that shocking. But one element that has been turning heads? The use of a bit of dialogue from Will Ferrell and Jon Heder's figure skating comedy "Blades Of Glory."

Also Talks About His Role In Upcoming Paul Dano Drama 'For Ellen'David Gordon Green tends to have his hands in a number of projects at any given time, but naturally, some stall out, get left behind or put aside. Back in 2008, just as "Pineapple Express" was gearing up to hit theaters and do some boffo box office, Green and Danny McBride pulled out an old script from their drawer, dusted it off, and set it up at Universal. Titled "Mr. Machine," McBride described the project as "our take on those old Amblin films -- it follows around these science fair geeks that construct this robot that gets a life of its own. It's like... I don't know, a 'Short Circuit' zombie movie." Well, it's now a few years later and there has been little word since, so we asked Jon Heder --- who is currently doing press to drum up support for the animated short he's developing via Kickstarter) -- about the status of the picture that is being produced under his Greasy Entertainment shingle.

Here's a bit of trivia we bet you didn't know: Jon Heder ("Napolean Dynamite," "Blades Of Glory") recently earned his BFA in Animation. Yep, it's true he recently completed the last credits he needed, and now he's putting that degree to good use, putting his producing powers into play and teaming with writer and director Nick Petersen on an ambitious short film that will mix live-action and animation. Adding to the unique nature of the project, the duo are looking to finance the project through the crowd-sourcing site Kickstarter.
