Jon M. Chu, Now You See Me 2
When you hear the name Jon M. Chu, the director of “G.I. Joe: Retaliation,” the projects “Pop Rocks,” “Rubik’s Cube,” “Go-Bots” and “Jenga: The Movie” can’t be far behind. OK, mostly joking, but his name has already been attached to “He Man: Masters Of The Universe,” “G.I. Joe 3,” and his next movie is “Jem & The Holograms,” so it’s hard to blame one for thinking he may get attached to the developing “Asteroids” movie in the next few months.

Jem And The Holograms
We know, it’s truly outrageous that we really haven’t covered the upcoming adaptation of “Jem And The Holograms.” An American animated television series that ran in the mid ‘80s starting in 1985, the cartoon followed music company owner Jerrica Benton, her singer alter-ego Jem, her band the Holograms, and their adventures. The show was to girls what the animated 1980s “G.I. Joe” and “Transformers” series were to boys (and frankly this writer watched all three, though Jem not that long after the first year).
