We can't be the only ones who feel like Ellie Kemper is going to be a giant movie star. The 31-year-old actress, a graduate of Princeton, Upright Citizen's Brigade, The Onion and McSweeney's, has been one of the shining lights of "The Office" since her introduction as touched-in-the-head receptionist Erin a couple of seasons back, and after supporting roles in "Mystery Team," "Get Him To The Greek" and Sofia Coppola's "Somewhere," she broke-out on the big-screen in a major way this summer in the mega-hit "Bridesmaids."

If you didn't see last year's "Cyrus" directed by Jay and Mark Duplass and starring Jonah Hill, do yourself a favor and catch up with it. Darkly funny and surprisingly moving it was a big leap forward for actor and directors alike and the trio are hoping to catch fire once again.

You’ll recall in 2008 we did, what we thought, was a very good job of casting Quentin Tarantino’s “Inglourious Basterds” (some of us are still convinced our picks were better than Q.T.’s, but that’s another story). And unless you’ve been living under a rock, you know that Tarantino has recently finished his latest script, one entitled “Django Unchained.” So yes, we’re at it again.

Considering it's the kind of project that we'd normally run a mile from (namely, a big-budget remake of a 1980s TV show that no one really gives a shit about), we're curiously optimistic about "21 Jump Street." Like the show, which launched the career of Johnny Depp, the movie will focus on a group of fresh-faced cops who go undercover in a high school, but the new version is an R-rated action-comedy take on the material, described as "Bad Boys" meets "John Hughes."

Winkler and Matt Spicer Also Sell 'The First Man' To Paramount Starring Johnny KnoxvilleFledgling filmmaking duo, director/writer Max Winkler and producer/writer Matt Spicer might not be household names at the moment, but if the frequency with which their names keep appearing in the film trades continues, the up-and-coming duo are going to be a familiar force to be reckoned with. The two have their debut feature film, "Ceremony" (which Winkler wrote and directed, Spicer produced) coming to theaters on April 8th starring Uma Thurman and Michael Angarano, and two big name writing projects- "The Ornate Anatomy of Living Things" and "The Adventurer's Handbook" -- sold to studios, both with serious buzz surrounding them.

When Jonah Hill came on the scene, popping up in David O. Russell's "I Heart Huckabees" and Judd Apatow's "The 40 Year Old Virgin," no one thought much of the young comic except that he was already stealing scenes from vets with a few more years of experience. But for anyone who has been paying attention to him behind the scenes, it's been pretty apparent his ambitions were big. He's taken to the pen, with films like "The Adventurer's Handbook" and the animated "Sausage Party" in the works, and he's even developing television programs, recently selling a project to Fox. So no surprise that the young talent has plotted a major next move.

While it's been a couple years now since Jonathan Demme's last film, "Rachel Getting Married," the director has been busy with a handful of projects, though a number of them seem to have stalled out in various stages of development. While he's directed two episodes of the forthcoming HBO show "Enlightened," he's got a completed Bob Marley documentary sitting on the shelf, was set to make a music-drive documentary in Haiti with Arcade Fire before the massive earthquake struck the nation last year, has lined up an HBO show based on Walter Mosely's "The Long Fall," and was attached to helm the drama "Honeymoon With Harry" last fall with Bradley Cooper and Robert De Niro to star, though movement on that project seems to have cooled. So what's next?

Looks like the pieces are finally in place for the long-gestating film adaptation of "21 Jump Street" which has been valiantly shepherded throughout by Jonah Hill. Speaking with MTV at the Critics' Choice Awards over the weekend, the actor has provided an update on the production noting that "the ball's very slowly rolling" and adding "We're gonna shoot April 11 in New Orleans. I'm excited. I've never been to New Orleans before."
