Sam Worthington, star of the new thriller “Man On A Ledge,” told The Playlist that the most important thing to improve upon in “Wrath Of The Titans,” the sequel to 2010’s “Clash Of The Titans,” was his own performance. “I wasn’t personally happy with my performance,” Worthington said Friday in an exclusive interview. “I didn’t think that I made a character. If you look at it, the way I play it, Perseus is a conduit for action – that’s all he was. He was a wrecking ball, he didn’t really have any personality, and it was a bland performance.”

Say what you will about the quality of "Battle: Los Angeles" or "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning," but with those films bringing in $202 million and $51 million, respectively worldwide (the latter on a slim budget of $16 million), the bottom line is that even if critics don't get with director Jonathan Liebesman, audiences seem to. And with "Clash of the Titans 2" around the corner, Warner Bros. want to make sure they stay in the Liebesman business.

'Eastern Promises' Scribe Steven Knight Rewrote Script, Gemma Arterton Nowhere To Be SeenIt's almost exactly a year since "Clash of the Titans" opened, overcoming some tough competition, a beyond-shoddy 3D conversion and terrible reviews to pick up a hugely impressive half-billion dollars worldwide. While filming has been underway for a few weeks in the U.K. on the yet-to-be-officially-titled sequel ("Wrath of the Titans" has been bandied about, but never confirmed), Warner Bros has sent out a press release to officially announce the start of principle photography, and it's confirmed a few cast members, as well as giving the first detailed description of the plot.

Among the contenders listed at the time were “Captain America” star Hayley Atwell, Clemence Poesy (”In Bruges”), Janet Montgomery (”Black Swan”), Georgina Haig (”Wasted on the Young”) and Dominique McElligott (”Moon”) but a name recently linked as a candidate for a role in Zack Snyder's "Superman" has landed the gig instead.

Following the effectively moody first trailer for "Battle: Los Angeles" -- oops, sorry, "World Invasion: Battle Los Angeles" (we guess the title change is there to make sure that folks know shit is going to blow up real good) -- the film's marketers have opted to show less footage and deliver more voiceover in the decidedly less thrilling second spot for the film.

Alien invasion season is officially underway, with the release today of "Skyline," the first of a string of similarly-themed sci-fi pictures set to roll out over the next few years, from "Super 8" to "Battleship." To no one's great surprise, it turns out to be no good at all (seriously, it was a film starring Eric Balfour. What were you expecting? ERIC BALFOUR!), but a trailer's debuted at Apple for a film that, at one stage, was suing "Skyline" for suspicious similarities in its set-up and design.
