Nymphomaniac
After reigniting his career with "Arrested Development," Jason Bateman has pivoted toward being a filmmaker. Earlier this year he dropped his foul mouthed feature directorial debut "Bad Words," and he's already set to direct "The Family Fang" starring Nicole Kidman. And another project is coming that will find him both behind and in front of the camera.

Jurassic World Bryce Dallas Howard
Him? Chris Pratt as the next big thing doesn’t really look like such a gamble anymore, though certainly when his casting announcements were made way back when, pundits were scratching their heads. But the lumpy comedian has transformed into muscle-bound, handsome leading man of late.

Jurassic World Chris Pratt
Twenty-one years ago yesterday, "Jurassic Park" was released in theaters. And one year from today the saga will continue: fourteen years from the last time that the dinosaurs from the Steven Spielberg/Michael Crichton franchise roamed the screen, they'll return in "Jurassic World," the long-awaited fourth film in the series. Directed by "Safety Not Guaranteed" director Colin Trevorrow, the film promises to be a semi-reboot of one of the biggest franchises around, with a new cast of characters returning to Isla Nubar, where a giant, and so far successful park has been built on the ashes of John Hammond's creation.

Congratulations, "Jurassic Park," you're now old enough to drink: Steven Spielberg's dinosaur adventure, at the time the biggest-grossing film in history, is twenty-one years old, having been released on June 11th, 1993. As Gareth Edwards' "Godzilla" just proved, it's one of the most influential blockbusters ever made, and should be right back in the zeitgeist again with the release of next year's sequel/reboot "Jurassic World," from director Colin Trevorrow and starring Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Omar Sy and Jake Johnson.

Jurassic World
Spoiler Culture is at war with itself. On one hand you have the intense inquisitiveness and anticipation coming from both fans and bloggers. Interest is so high that eagerness and thirst for knowledge often becomes a form of invasive prying. Conversely, the Internet is so full of spoilerphobes, if you leak out too much information, you’re likely going to receive a torrent of angry missives from audiences. It’s a very fine line for writer and reader and the boundaries of responsibility for the author are often blurry.

John Williams thought it compelling enough to return and score the next three “Star Wars” films for J.J. Abrams, but it appears the prospect of returning to another of his brilliantly-composed franchises, “Jurassic Park,” wasn’t something Williams wanted on his resume (not that this guy has to worry about his resume, having won five Oscars throughout his career).

While Disney honcho Alan Horn's comments about "Star Wars 7" dominated the news yesterday, he also touched upon a couple of other big properties in the Mouse House that fans (and investors) are keeping an eye on.

He may have starred in two of the worst blockbusters of recent years -- “Green Lantern” and “R.I.P.D.” -- but don’t hold that against him, given the right film and role (like in this year’s “The Voices”) Ryan Reynolds can shine. Deadline reports Reynolds will stay in the arthouse world with a role in the Helen Mirren-starring “Woman In Gold” alongside Daniel Bruhl, who’s in negotiations with The Weinstein Company.

On the Other Side of the Tracks Omar Sy
As "Jurassic World" gears up to roll in front of cameras, the finishing touches on the cast are being put in place plus some new details about the shoot are emerging, and it turns out Colin Trevorrow's latest installment will be connecting all the way to back to Steven Spielberg's 1993 smash hit "Jurassic Park."

Vincent D’Onofrio
Apparently no one has asked Jeff Goldblum if he’s going to reprise his “Jurassic Park” role in “Jurassic World,” but two new actors have been asked and cast. Former “Law & Order: Criminal Intent” actor Vincent D’Onofrio and Indian star Irrfan Khan have both joined the tentpole that already includes Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Ty Simpkins and Nick Robinson.
