While he may have dabbled in a number of genres, told a variety of stories, and balanced big blockbusters with thoughtful dramas, the one constant in the career of Steven Spielberg (Daddy-issue themes aside) has been John Williams. The composer has worked on 25 of the director's films (that includes the upcoming "War Horse" and "The Adventures Of Tintin"), only missing out on "Duel" and "The Color Purple" over their decades-long collaboration. So no shocker here, but Variety confirms that Williams will once again pair up with Spielberg to tackle the score for his dream project "Lincoln."

The story of Jackie Earle Haley is a pretty amazing one. The actor found modest success as a child actor and continued with his career into the mid '80s with appearances on both television and the big screen before moving behind the camera for the next couple of decades as a modest producer and director of commercials. But he returned to the big screen with a vengeance with a memorable turn as a pedophile in Todd Field's "Little Children" and from there, he's seen an amazing resurgence. With stints in "Watchmen," "Shutter Island," "A Nightmare On Elm Street" and in Tim Burton's forthcoming "Dark Shadows," Haley has established himself as one of the best character actors going and he's adding another big name director and project to his impressive resume.

Film Will Be Released After 2012 Election After a three-year break, Steven Spielberg is getting back to prolific form. He's got two movies due out before the end of the year, and is shortly to start shooting on a new one. Indeed, it's a film that he's been talking about for years, but never seemed to progress -- "Lincoln," his biopic of the great U.S. president Abraham Lincoln, which was long set to star Liam Neeson, but was announced earlier in the year as finally moving forward with Daniel Day-Lewis in the lead.

For Lee Pace, it has always seemed that bigger things have just been on the horizon. Most people probably recognize his face from his work on two shortlived, but acclaimed television shows "Wonderfalls" and "Pushing Daisies," however, astute film fans have also picked up on his talents. He was great as the love interest in the underseen and hugely underrated charmer "Miss Pettigrew Lives For A Day," and he nearly stole the show as the arrogant documentary filmmaker Whit Coutell in Max Winkler's "Ceremony" and Hollywood has certainly sat up and taken notice. Pace is now part of two huge franchises with roles in the "Twilight: Breaking Dawn" films and in Peter Jackson's "The Hobbit" and now he can add one of the next year's biggest pieces of Oscar bait to his schedule.

Lest you think women past 40 don't really have much of a career in Hollywood... ok, that can often be true in our culture of ageism and youth, but more to the point, 64-year-old actress Sally Field has landed the role of her late-era career. Sure, the actress already has two Best Actress Oscars under her belt, "Norma Rae" (1979) and "Places in the Heart" (1984), but these days she's remembered for "Mrs. Doubtfire" more than anything else.
