In between court dates, getting in car accidents, doing photo shoots with Terry Richardson and being accused of theft, Lindsay Lohan actually managed to shoot two movies. She recently wrapped production on Paul Schrader's indie "The Canyons," but before that she got the paparazzi in a tizzy on the set of "Liz and Dick." Now, a few promo shots and the first images from the film itself have dropped, and they are sure to get the chatter started all over again.

With the paparazzi busily snapping away during nearly every on-location moment for Lifetime's "Liz & Dick," the studio has wasted no time supplying official images of Lindsay Lohan and Grant Bowler, this time in color, following a black-white still earlier in the week. This is where we usually talk about the shoddy nature of most Lifetime movies, and how this is a bad idea blah blah blah, but let's get right to the heart of it: do these two even look like Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton?

Yes, it's happening. "Liz & Dick" has bucked the odds and is actually filming with Lindsay Lohan actually showing up on set. For real. And now the legendary Elizabeth Taylor will have her life story told by the fine folks at Lifetime -- who don't know a real life person they can't exploit and sensationalize -- with Lohan in the title role. The movie gods are crying.

When this idea was first tossed around back in January, we figured it was yet another publicity stunt by the producers and/or Lindsay Lohan's people to drum up news for the project and the actress whose legal troubles have largely kept her out of movies for the past few years, except for a cameo in Robert Rodriguez's "Machete." But somehow insurers for the movie are appeased that she'll appear on set, as the actress has landed her first lead role since 2009's "Labor Pains" and she'll be taking on a titan.
