One of the most enticing, if unknown prospects at the Sundance Film Festival (and one we think could spark a distributor bidding war) is "Lovelace" from "Howl" directors Rob Epstein and Jeffrey Friedman. And while there has been a lot of pictures and print about the movie thus far, the first clip has arrived to give a small taste of what's to come.

From wide-eyed, love-stricken Cosette in "Les Miserables" to the uniquely talented porn star Linda Lovelace in "Lovelace," two very different sides to Amanda Seyfried will have been displayed within weeks of each other. But with the latter film gearing up for a Sundance Film Festival premiere, it looks like there have been some changes made on the way from the editing room to the screening room.

The legend goes that when Wong Kar-Wai brought "2046" to the Cannes Film Festival, the print was still dripping as he worked until the very last minute to finish it. And to say that his latest, the martial arts biopic "The Grandmaster," has had a few road bumps and delays would be an understatement. The film has been in production on and off for the past couple of years, and had things gone according to plan, it would be in theaters in China now, opening this week. But of course, WKW had to continue tinkering, and the release date was pushed to January 8, 2013. But it seems the end is nigh, god willing, and "The Grandmaster" has set an international bow.

While there has been more than a few movies about the porn industry, there's really only "Boogie Nights" and then everything else, but "Howl" directors Rob Epstein and Jeffrey Friedman hope to change that with "Lovelace." A biopic of the infamous porn star, the subject has already spawned a compelling docmentary ("Inside Deep Throat") and their starry production aims to tell the salacious tale of the woman who became famous for a very particular skill.

Usually, it's only big budget blockbusters that court the press while the cameras are rolling on their films as part of a carefully scaled marketing campaign, but rarely does that extend to indies, mostly because the budgets and time simply don't allow for it. But that certainly isn't the case with "Lovelace," the hotly buzzed biopic of infamous porn star Linda Lovelace that finds Amanda Seyfriend taking on the lead role.
