Well, here's your fun fact for the morning: Sofia Vergara's son, Manolo Vergara, has his own web-based reality show, "Mi Vida con Toty." While we have to warn you that it's pretty much instantly annoying, if you want to see any footage from the currently filming "Machete Kills," you'll have to click play below.

Even if you’re not a fan of Robert Rodriguez’s footloose and fancy-free style of maverick filmmaking, you have to respect the fact that he certainly knows how to round up an impressive cast with each passing project. While he usually peppers films from “Spy Kids” to “Sin City” and beyond with delightful and unexpected casting choices, “Machete Kills” serves to be no exception to the rule.

Although “Machete” wasn’t a runaway success at the box-office ($44m worldwide), critically it was met with cautiously optimistic reviews, it didn't cost all that much, and it seems that was enough for Robert Rodriguez to plough ahead with a sequel. You know, because he can. The end credits promised that Machete would return in “Machete Kills” and “Machete Kills Again” (in space?) and we’re slowly moving closer towards the former of those happening.

If you would have asked us a year ago whether we thought a sequel to Robert Rodriguez's "Machete" would ever happen, we would have taken a bet against it. Response to the 2010 film didn't set the roof on fire, but made quick and inexpensively, the exploitation film's $44 million worldwide gross was evidently enough to warrant a sequel. After all, Rodriguez just makes the picture in-house via his Troublemaker Studios and then strikes a deal with a distributor afterwards, with the writer/director still controlling rights. No fuss, no muss.

The pieces are starting to come together for (deep breath) "Frank Miller's Sin City: A Dame To Kill For." Following the events of the first film, and/or occuring concurrently, the production has already confirmed the return of Mickey Rourke and Jessica Alba, and here comes one more. The character of Dwight will apparently re-appear, with Clive Owen reprising his role from part one. We recently asked Owen about his involvement, and he was cagey in his denial, though it does appear the project has only recently begun to take shape.

After all the empty promises over the years, we can hardly believe it either: a sequel to Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller's "Sin City" is set to begin production this spring with many of the original cast expected to return. To whet appetites, we now have a promo poster for the film, titled "Sin City: A Dame To Kill For," which plays it generic but bares enough of the neo-noir hallmarks of its predecessor to entice.

Sometimes an Oscar nomination (or more importantly a win) bumps you into a higher echelon, with more prestige style scripts crossing your desk and doors opening where they were closed. Or, it doesn't. And though he earned a well deserved Oscar nod for his turn in "A Better Life," Demian Birchir's next couple of projects likely won't find him returning to the Kodak Theater Dolby Theater anytime soon.

Looks like "Fast & Furious 6" is getting fuel injected with some kick-ass estrosgen. With Gina Carano joining the pic last week and Rihanna being rumored to play the villain (while reps stay noticeably mum, though not denying anything), a familiar female face is returning to the gearhead series.
