The opportunities for ladies to see leading men take it off at the movies are few and far between, and usually relegated to dumb action flicks or in heavy period dramas with Vaseline on the lenses. But for Steven Soderbergh's stripper pic "Magic Mike" he's lining up the man meat with Channing Tatum, Alex Pettyfer and Matthew McConaughey already set to star. Well ladies, you might want to undo that top button because things are getting hotter.

Richard Linklater, William Friedkin, Lee Daniels, Jeff Nichols and now Steven Soderbergh. These are just some of the helmers Matthew McConaughey has worked with since 2009's "Ghosts Of Girlfriends Past," the tedious rom-com that seems to have spooked the actor into ditching the easy paychecks that required little more than taking off his shirt, and digging into some real material. That said, this next project may find a reason for the actor yet to flex those pecs.

Allegedly Turned Down Steven Soderbergh's 'Magic Mike' To Focus On 'The East'There is no mistaking it -- Brit Marling is having a moment. Arriving at Sundance earlier this year with two films, “Another Earth” and “Sound Of Your Voice,” performing triple duties on each film -- acting, writing and producing -- she soon saw major buzz surround both works, with Fox Searchlight picking up rights for the pair, and the former flick earning two prizes for director Mike Cahill. Certainly not a bad way to make your entrance into Hollywood and like Noomi Rapace and Jennifer Lawrence in 2010, this year Marling seems to be the new actress that everyone wants to have a piece of. It looks like everyone is back from summer vacation and with numerous films gearing up to start shooting this fall, it seems Marling's agent has been fielding several calls.

Um, wow. The idea that Steven Soderbergh was sneaking one more film in before his long-promised retirement, other than the previously announced "Liberace" and "The Man From U.N.C.L.E," was a surprise. The idea that the bonus picture would be a drama about male strippers, starring part-man, part-tree trunk Channing Tatum, was an even bigger surprise. But further casting's been announced for the film, and it's a real eyebrow-raiser: the director has landed the young star of "I Am Number Four," Alex Pettyfer, to play opposite Tatum. Not only that, but it emerges that Pettyfer will essentially be playing a younger version of the real-life Channing Tatum.

'The Man From U.N.C.L.E.' To Shoot In February 2012, 'Liberace' To Follow In The SummerFirst off, Steven Soderbergh does still plan to step away from directing with more or less the same timeline, however he's a workhorse and seeing another interesting project cross his desk -- luckily for us -- he's decided to squeeze in one more picture onto his schedule.
