What is the deal with Justin Bieber? Seriously. Listen, we get that we're not the demographic for this kid, but we'd understand the hoopla around him if there was some kind of talent or charisma. Obviously, he appeals to the tweenage set who scream and mob city streets just catch a glimpse of that stupid haircut but for everyone else? If you're over twenty and listen to Justin Bieber in earnest, you need assistance. But hey, we'll acknowledge that his concert film "Never Say Never" nearly brought $100 million worldwide so clearly there is an audience for this guy. But for whatever reason, he's now being packaged as a serious actor.

Mark Wahlberg must be feeling pretty good this week. After shepherding the project for years, his boxing pic "The Fighter" walked away from Sunday night's Oscars with two major awards under its belt with Christian Bale and Melissa Leo winning Best Supporting Actor and Best Supporting Actress respectively. At the box office, the film has been a powerhouse as well, quietly marching to over $100 million worldwide and so, no surprise, Wahlberg is beginning to ruminate on a possible sequel.

'The Fighter' Filmmaker Has Plenty Of Options To Choose FromExclusive: Sometimes an IMDB page needs a little bit of cleaning. If you're filmmaker David O. Russell, it needs constant care and pruning. Perhaps more than any other working director out there -- save possibly Ridley Scott who attaches himself to projects like you and I change underwear -- "The Fighter" director has been attached to around a dozen projects since circa 2006. "The Grackle," starring Matthew McConaghey, "H-Man Cometh," the rom-com "Aaron and Sarah" and "Pride And Prejudice And Zombies" are just four of many that are no longer happening.

In the perpetual buzz of awards season, "The Fighter" has certainly made its amount of noise. The film was nominated for six Golden Globes (and took home two of them for Melissa Leo and Christian Bale), and now it's in the running for seven Oscars, including Best Picture. Back in January, we covered director David O. Russell's discussion with fellow filmmaker Spike Jonze at the MOMI in New York, but after the jump find part two -- if you will -- West coast style. Perhaps a bit more laid back (with the slight exception of Russell, who still donned a bow tie and tux having just come from the WGA awards) and with celebrity cameos to boot (Mark Wahlberg and actor Jack McGee were surprise guests), the filmmakers gathered after a screening of the film for a brief discussion at Hollywood's Egyptian theatre on what it took to bring "The Fighter" to the screen.

Well, thanks to David Fincher and "The Social Network" the writer gets his shot with HBO now ordering a pilot for his cable news show drama, tentatively titled "More As The Story Develops."

Well, this is a weird one. In the run up to the release of "The Fighter," director David O. Russell and star Mark Wahlberg openly and gladly talked about what appeared to be their forthcoming collaboration on the big screen version of the popular video game "Uncharted." But now, according to "Uncharted 3" video game director Justin Richmond, none of the things Russell actually said were true and Wahlberg is not signed on to the film. Huh?
