Actor Says The Story For The 'Green Lantern' Sequel Is "Set In Stone" & Hinted At In This FilmCall it comeback week for Warner Bros' "Green Lantern" superhero franchise but a few months ago it was a completely different story. When the EW magazine cover that first revealed lead actor Ryan Reynolds in costume hit, the core geek crowd were not feeling the CGI-created mask or suit. The first trailer didn't fare much better and was criticized by fanboys for its cheap effects and far-too-goofy tone.

Last night, Ryan Reynolds may have said he's reached his super hero film quota with "Green Lantern" already completed and "Deadpool," plus the genre-y graphic novel, "R.I.P.D.," but he may be getting ahead of himself, since none of these pictures has been released. We've been pretty skeptical of "Green Lantern" so far, and more importantly, so has the vocal movie geek community who the movie is aimed at. Early trailers looked like lame SyFy channel tele-movies and even Warner Bros. admitted that all the early footage was weak.

And Details Of Footage Shown At The 'Green Lantern' Wonder Con PresentationDuring a panel featuring stars Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively at WonderCon in San Francisco today Warner Bros. revealed new footage from this summer’s “Green Lantern”. The panel was led by current DC Chief Creative Officer Geoff Johns who announced that a new full-length “Green Lantern” trailer will be released May 6th, attached to “Thor,” before introducing a good deal of new footage to those in attendance.

James Newton Howard Scoring 'Green Lantern'

While it's been rumored in quieter circles for some time now, it's since been confirmed that eight-time Oscar nominated composer James Newton Howard (everything from "Liar Liar," to "The Dark Knight") will be scoring Martin Campbell's upcoming sci-fi superhero flick, "Green Lantern."
