Like a leaky nerd faucet, Marvel keeps the information flowing, albeit in servings that would strain to be called child's size. And yet, here we are, because the Marvel-verse is one of the most interesting gambles in recent memory at the movies that is only growing bigger and more successful with each passing year (leading up to a whopper of a 2015 for Disney). But before we get ahead of ourselves and talk Phase Three, there is still lots to come with Phase Two, starting with "Iron Man 3," which opens tomorrow, and EW sat down with Kevin Feige and grilled him on all things Marvel.

So, remember just over a week ago when Joss Whedon not-so-subtly teased that his script for "The Avengers 2" script contained, "two of my favorite characters from the comic book, a brother/sister act"? While he didn't come right out and say it, speculation centered on Quicksilver and The Scarlet Witch -- sibling twin superheroes -- that thanks to complicated rights issues, are able to be used by both Marvel and 20th Century Fox. And it looks like the guesswork was spot on.

Marvel RIsks, feature
In Steven Soderbergh's state of cinema address earlier this week, he remarked that, "Art is a very elegant problem solving model." He went on to describe his ideal model for a studio: "I think if I were going to run a studio I’d just be gathering the best filmmakers I could find and sort of let them do their thing within certain economic parameters." Now, the point of his impassioned address, which included such other applicable witticisms as "it's about horses, not races," is about what the studios should be doing versus what they are doing. But there is a studio that has followed his exact advice and it's not one you would expect: it's Marvel Studios.

Iron Man 3, poster header
After just about as successful a start as you could ask for (three new franchises, and one mega-franchise that kicked off with the third biggest movie of all time), the Marvel movie machine is moving into its next phase. And with it comes the risk of dilution; we're getting at least two movies a year (plus TV series "Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D"), and with countless other superheroes also in the marketplace, there's a chance that diminishing returns could set in; what was once a special chance to see much-loved characters on the big screen might simply become a bi-annual check in to see much of what we've seen before.

So what do Zoe Saldana, Chris Pratt, Dave Bautista, Michael Rooker and now Ophelia Lovibond have in common? Believe it or not, this grab-bag, eclectic batch of actors constitute the cast of a movie which is shaping up to be a pretty interesting little gamble on behalf of Marvel.

A couple days ago, the internet was graced with a rather genius bit video via Patton Oswalt. While filming a guest spot on "Parks & Recreation," Oswalt turned what was supposed to be a simple scene of him filibustering a town hall meeting, into an 8-minute, breathless, totally dorky, pitch about what Disney should do with the "Star Wars" franchise. It starts along innocently enough, but soon Oswalt is talking about a Marvel crossover and it quickly devolves into geek-speak heaven.

Iron Man 3
You've heard it all before. Franchise actors who claim they want to move on and tackle more artistic endeavors, or who insist they will only come back if the script is right and can do justice to the film(s) that came before. But few of those people are Robert Downey Jr., and even fewer earned the $50 million he pocketed from the mega-success of "The Avengers," thanks to his back-end deal for starring in the movie. So, will RDJ really walk away from that kind of money, despite professing a desire to move on from playing Tony Stark? If his interview in GQ is anything to go by, the answer is yes.
