Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Megan Fox
In “The Great Gatsby,” F. Scott Fitzgerald describes Tom Buchanan's size as “cruel.” Before we meet the character, the narrative tells us that his physicality is brutish and unpleasant, undermining Buchanan's desire for others to bask in his own Übermensch status. The bodies and faces of the title characters in Jonathan Liebesman's nonsensical “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” can be described in a similar way. Their shoulders are blocky, their biceps bulging. It's unclear where their chests end and their heads begin. Just seeing them in motion feels oppressive.

After adjusting herself well to supporting comedy roles in “Friends with Kids” and “This is 40,” we were optimistic for more than a career detour for Megan Fox, but alas, Michael Bay has denied that wish. The director has lured her back with his delayed “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” reboot and likely the character of April O'Neil, but now one involved party -- the comic's creator Peter Laird -- remains pretty confused about the entire decision.

Now Who Could She Possibly Be Referring To? 5 Things Learned From The 'Friends With Kids' Actress Megan Fox’s last two appearances at the Toronto International Film Festival were for projects where the eventual response was, shall we say, mixed. “Jennifer’s Body” came and went from theaters weeks after its TIFF premiere in 2009, while the Mickey Rourke-Bill Murray-costarring “Passion Play” was not just the most derided film of the 2010 festival, but one of the year’s most loudly panned releases, period.

Exclusive: More so than any of his previous films, Judd Apatow's next movie is being kept firmly under wraps. We know that it's a spin-off to "Knocked Up," focusing on Paul Rudd and Leslie Mann's characters from that film, we know that Rudd's character now runs a record label, we know it's being referred to in some circles as "This is Forty," although that's not the official title, and we know that Apatow has assembled a typically salivating supporting cast, with Albert Brooks, John Lithgow, Chris O'Dowd, Lena Dunham, Melissa McCarthy, Annie Mumulo, Ryan Lee, Wyatt Russell, Robert Smigel, and a few returning alumni of the 2007 comedy, including Jason Segel and Charlyne Yi, although not, it would appear, Seth Rogen.

Plus New Photos Of 'The Descendants' & Luc Besson's 'The Lady'Michael Bay's loss is the indie world's gain. Megan Fox may no longer be part of the "Transformers" franchise, but her next big screen role will be in Jennifer Westfeldt's "Friends With Kids," an ensemble indie that stars Adam Scott, Jennifer Westfeldt, Jon Hamm, Kristen Wiig, Maya Rudolph, Chris O'Dowd and Edward Burns. Not too shabby and it pays to have famous friends.

Harrison Ford Says What We're All Thinking, Calls LaBeouf A "Fucking Idiot"It appears that Shia LaBeouf has a mouth that can't be stopped. Just a few weeks after the actor dumped on his former co-star Megan Fox, claiming her unforgivable "Spice Girl strength" and her inability to handle Michael Bay's meticulous directions on where to point her ass got her fired from this weekend's "Transformers: Dark of the Moon." Now, a new Details magazine feature on the actor finds him using the opportunity to throw Fox under the bus yet again, albeit this time in a wholly different way.

While Michael Bay and Shia LaBeouf haven't been shy about shit-talking former "Transformers" co-star Megan Fox, the actress is quietly building up a comeback. She's landed a role in Judd Apatow's "Knocked Up" spinoff "This Is Forty," she's got the indie dramedy "Friends With Kids" also on the horizon, and now she's going to be popping up in one of the biggest comedies of next year.

Tyrese Gibson Dreams Of Being On A Steven Spielberg SetLet the "controversy" continue. Weeks after Shia LaBeouf claimed that Megan Fox's "Spice Girl strength" and her desire to be more than drapery with breasts and a butt on the set of the "Transformers" movies eventually got her booted by director Michael Bay. But the helmer of the robots-fighting-each-other movies now has his own slightly different version of what went down.

You can argue that we live in a different era that holds up movie stars to a different type of scrutiny. With the constant media crush of desperate updates regarding our favorite and least-favorite celebrities, there are simply more opportunities for actors to open their mouths and reveal just how oblivious, uneducated and unpleasant they really are. So the latest comments by Shia LaBeouf regarding former co-star Megan Fox, and the asinine “Transformers” franchise as a whole, shouldn’t be a surprise. Note that this does not make them amusing in their odiousness.

Did someone forget to butter Mickey Rourke's popcorn at the "Scream 4" premiere last night? Or was he as disappointed as we were in the lacklustre horror sequel? Who knows, but when chatting with Vulture at the after-party, the actor decided to dispense with Hollywood courtesies and drop some truth bombs all over the place. Charlie Sheen, eat your heart out.
