Oh Yeah, Warner Bros. Is Going To Pay For & Distribute 'The Hobbit' Everywhere TooIn not so shocking news, MGM has a bit of cash crunch, thus the idea of them distributing or even somehow paying for "The Hobbit" was kind of hilarious.

Update: Here's what happened. Variety tried to be bloggers and failed and dug up a Total Film interview from January 2010 that they mistook for 2011. We were dumb enough to follow suit -- though so did half the Internet. Nothing to see here, please move on.

New Bond Film To Arrive Every Two Years After ThatWe'll try and keep the boring economics of this to minimum because it makes us fall asleep too, but MGM recently officially filed for bankruptcy and began restructuring proceedings that will put the legendary studio back into the business of making movies. As you already know, the first film out of the gate is the long-delayed and highly anticipated "The Hobbit" that will begin filming in February, but it looks like the other massive MGM franchise, the 'James Bond' series, will be headed back to the big screen sooner than we thought.
