Billy Connolly, Pauline Collins & Michael Gambon Join Maggie Smith & Tom Courtenay In CastIt's somewhat surprising, given that most actors give it a shot at one point or another in their career, even if they never go back to it, that Dustin Hoffman has never stepped behind the camera to direct a film. He has, after all, won awards a-plenty, and been a fully-fledged, albeit unorthodox, giant movie star, for most of his career. The closest Hoffman came to helming a picture was 1978's Straight Time, a project that eventually ended up in the hands of Ulu Grosbard (1995's Georgia) - that is, until now.

Andrew Niccol's Sci-Fi-Actioner With Actor As Villain Now Known As 'In Time' Beyond his work with Christopher Nolan in the Batman movies and "Inception," Irish actor Cillian Murphy's career has been surprisingly low key. He's about to feature fairly prominently as the lead antagonist in Andrew Niccol's "In Time" (formerly titled "Now" and before that, "I'm.mortal") as well as Rodrigo Cortes' "Red Lights" but, other than that, his choices have generally been dominated by more risky, independent fare.

Michael Gambon, Bill Nighy, Judy Davis & Ralph Fiennes Also In Cast It seems like a little while since we've had a really smart, compelling spy thriller -- there have been some valiant, but flawed efforts, like Billy Ray's "Breach" and the Don Cheadle vehicle "Traitor," but for the most part, the genre swings between ludicrous, rubber-mask filled efforts like "Salt," and the frankly dull "The Good Shepherd." But next year has the absurdly promising "Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy" in the pipeline, and it looks like another British effort is joining it.
