Park City may be aflutter with cinematic thrills, but it's still January in the rest of the country. Which means we have another weekend of lackluster studio releases banking on the bevy of visuals distracting you from the fact that they were written by a robot without feelings. On the other hand, the schedule is punctuated by a few vibrant indies and flicks from overseas. Emphasis on the few, but still: beggars, and all that jazz. So, fellow panhandlers -- what's getting your hard earned dollar bills this weekend? Tell us in the comments below!

What is there to say, analytically, about “Movie 43”? Not released in theaters as much as inexplicably materializing in front of our very eyes, “Movie 43” has no moral, no overarching story, and no point other than the opportunity for Hollywood stars to play silly for a short while. Some of them relish this – a few of the performers are a natural at studied wackiness. Some aren’t as comfortable. Others just seem like they’re passing the time. The filmmakers who collaborated on this anthology film, however, mostly fit that last description. Despite the title, this… thing…is barely a movie.

So, the anthology comedy "Movie 43" is coming to theaters this weekend, and yet despite the massive, star-driven cast, it seems the picture is being kinda buried. No press screenings seem to be happening, perhaps proving that you can round up as many big stars as you want, but if the material isn't there, they can't make it work. So in a bid to get you to buy a ticket, a full segment has dropped online and it will perhaps entertain you enough that you might just wander over to a theater to see it for curiousity's sake.

You might think that a saucy, raunchy, R-rated comedy featuring a smattering of talent like Elizabeth Banks, Kristen Bell, Halle Berry, Kate Bosworth, Gerard Butler, Bobby Cannavale, Common, Kieran Culkin, Josh Duhamel, Anna Faris, Richard Gere, Terrence Howard, Hugh Jackman, Greg Kinnear, Johnny Knoxville, Justin Long, Stephen Merchant, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Chloë Grace Moretz, Chris Pratt, Dennis Quaid, Liev Schreiber, Seann William Scott, Emma Stone, Jason Sudeikis, Uma Thurman, Naomi Watts, Kate Winslet and more might be more worthy of a bigger weekend than the late January dumping ground. But of course, any movie featuring that cast will have us curious, so here we are....

With a garishly neon poster featuring the silhouette of a woman with the words "comedy exposed" on her breasts and the title "Movie 43" on her crotch, there is nothing reserved about this movie. And certainly, when you can line up folks like Hugh Jackman and Naomi Watts to play dirty, it's intriguing.

The only thing you need to know about "Movie 43" is that it features a ton of short comedy segments, with a bunch of stars, and if you don't like the one you're currently watching, you don't have to worry because the next one is just around the corner. While the first trailer did it's best to give a broad overview of what audiences are in for, this new, filthy red band spot narrows down the scope a bit more.

As we recently wrote, Gerard Butler could probably use a new agent by this point or maybe just a better sense of material. "Chasing Mavericks" opens this weekend with zero buzz, and it will likely be just as quickly forgotten as "Machine Gun Preacher" and probably the upcoming "Playing For Keeps." But the actor will change things up and kick off the New Year as....a leprechaun.

What do you get when you put together twelve directors, way more stars and producing power of Peter Farrelly? Well, it's "Movie 43" a portmanteau of comedy that looks like it'll be wearing it's R-rating with pride. And a new red band trailer has dropped to let audiences know just what on Earth they'll be getting into.

When you're pulling together a comedy omnibus with shorts directed by Brett Ratner, Elizabeth Banks, Mike Judge, Bob Odenkirk, Steve Baker, Damon Escot and more, starring folks like Emma Stone, Halle Berry, Terrence Howard, Gerard Butler, Kristen Bell, Chloe Moretz, Josh Duhamel, Hugh Jackman, Johnny Knoxville, Elizabeth Banks, Naomi Watts, Kate Winslet, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Richard Gere, Anna Faris, Justin Long, Liev Schreiber, Uma Thurman, Seann William Scott, Kieran Culkin, Leslie Bibb, Jimmy Bennett, Kate Bosworth, Patrick Warburton, Tony Shalhoub, Chris Pratt, Jason Sudeikis, Jack McBrayer, Aasif Mandvi and Bobby Cannavale....you might understand that few deadlines might be missed. But after a couple of release date bumps, "Movie 43" is coming to theaters and some peeks have arrived.

In the works for a while now, and most recently kicking back to life last summer when it was reported that Jim Carrey was eyeballing a sequel to "Dumb & Dumber" as a potential next project, it looks like everything is coalescing for the return of Harry and Lloyd.
