It's a testament to how quickly the music world moves that 2007 and 2008 seem like it was decades ago, but if you remember, Canada's Feist shot to the top of the pop music charts thanks to a very clever iPod ad that made a smash hit out of her song "1234." It certainly didn't hurt that the rest of her third album, "The Reminder," was filled with a number of solid, hook-filled hits including "I Feel It All" and "My Moon My Man." Arena tours followed as did television appearances, and her songs seemed to be everywhere for a couple of seasons.

Last month, it was revealed that Harmony Korine was crowdsource funding his next film as part of the Rotterdam Film Festival's Cinema Reloaded program. The director was seeking 30,000 Euros for a project that he said was “gonna be some really messed up" and do "some serious damage." And it looks like he's found some very suitable collaborators.

Most Obvious Use Of "London Calling" EverSet to hit UK cinemas in four weeks, it's about time that a trailer for writer William Monahan's directorial debut "London Boulevard" hit, but upon viewing, it's easy to see why rumblings on this one were not positive and it explains the film's absence from any festival runs this year.

Are we missing something here? Tom Cruise is supposed to be rehabilitating his career, right? We scoffed at a potential re-teaming with Ben Stiller for "The Hardy Men," but that at least seemed like a commercial choice (though, for now, it seems to be on the backburner). We can't really conjure up feelings for "Top Gun 2" because returning to one of his most popular roles might be a good idea right now. And a Les Grossman spinoff from "Tropic Thunder"? Considering the writing talent aboard, we're open-minded.

Studio Eventually Clues Into Fact That You Don't Need New Book To Learn That Richards Was A Willful Drug AbuserA minor brouhaha arose a couple of days ago when it was suggested that aging, still-alive rocker Keith Richards might be getting snipped from the forthcoming "Pirates Of The Caribbean: On Stranger Tides" due to "Life," the warts and all memoir by the axe-slinger hitting bookshelves this week. The book had Richards talking quite candidly about his past drug use and the rumors went that Disney brass were suddenly not comfortable with putting his worn and ragged mug in front of impressionable school children.

While James Franco's performance in Danny Boyle's "127 Hours" is a remarkable feat, and a career defining turn for the actor, the soundtrack to the film, is another integral ingredient in the picture's powerful emotional impact. Powered by an original score by A.R. Rahman and completed with smart, select uses of songs by Sigur Ros and Bill Withers, the soundtrack is definitely worth picking up.

Biopic On His Younger Years Also In The WorksEven though he's since passed on, that hasn't stopped Michael Jackson from being a moonwalking money making machine. The pop singer earned a staggering $275 million last year from beyond the grave, topping the Top Earning Dead Celebrity list (yes, someone actually keeps track of this). But the gravy train won't stop there as plans are afoot to turn "Thriller" into a feature length movie.

Shocker: He Used To Use DrugsWe think this rumor is most likely a pile of horseshit, but with Hollywood not playing very friendly lately with celebs who do bad things (unless your name is Charlie Sheen it seems) we suppose there could be some truth to it.
