Marked by an admirable, but certainly not spectacular performance by Michelle Williams -- in a role she's arguably not very suited for -- some wonderful costuming, set design and locations, and a stand-out supporting turn by Judi Dench, there aren't many other favorable things to say about "My Week With Marilyn," a slight drama with a reputable cast, that still feels through and through like a superficial Lifetime made for TV-movie.

While The Playlist team is still arguing around the lunch table about whether or not the first trailer for "My Week With Marilyn" showcased an Oscar contender or just a well-put-together but not particularly remarkable period piece, there is no denying everyone in this thing looks pretty damn beautiful.

And come Sunday, press at the New York Film Festival (including us) will finally get a chance to feast their eyes on the film.

From directing "Thor," to starring, adapting and helming various Shakespeare works to playing troubled cop Kurt Wallander, Kenneth Branagh has pretty much done it all, but surely even he must have been slightly intimidated stepping into the shoes of the legendary Laurence Olivier in the upcoming "My Week With Marilyn." Empire has the first look at the actor playing the iconic thesp and he's certainly nailed down the imposing gravitas Olivier carried with him.

More Photos From 'Dragon Tattoo,' 'MI4,' 'We Bought A Zoo,' 'The Muppets,' 'Breaking Dawn' & More"The Rum Diary" starring Johnny Depp has been in the can for what feels like two years now, but there's a reason for the delay apparently. ''You can't open it next to some blockbuster thing,'' Depp told EW in their Fall Film Preview issue. ''It's a special little film.'' While we've seen photos of Depp as the writer Paul Kemp who works at a Puerto Rico newspaper in the '50s-set adaptation of Hunter S. Thompson's early novel, this is our first look at Amber Heard in the picture. The director is Bruce Robinson of "Withnail & I" fame? Wait, who? Exactly. Robinson hasn't directed a feature since "Jennifer Eight" in 1992, but as he told EW, "Johnny's one of the few stars who can [handpick] who they want to direct a movie." And what's one of Depp's favorite movies? Well, the debauched and depraved "Withnail & I" so there you have it. The picture also stars Aaron Eckhart, Giovanni Ribisi, Richard Jenkins and it hits theaters on October 28.

Based on a forgotten chapter from memoir about young asst aiming to break into biz." Well, the New York Film Festival now has its centerpiece and another strong film added to the line-up for what will be a starry showing in the Big Apple this fall.
