With a slate of programming that already boasts two of the biggest shows on television -- "Game Of Thrones" and "Boardwalk Empire" -- HBO is not slowing down for a minute in 2012. This past weekend they finally unveiled the hotly buzzed Lena Dunham series "Girls," and this weekend Armando Iannucci's "Veep" will debut as well. But that's not all. This summer, the network will welcome Aaron Sorkin back to TV, unspooling his latest "The Newsroom," and Vanity Fair has provided the first look at the entire cast photographed by none other than Annie Leibovitz.

Look, we'll be the first to admit that the headline here is all types of deceptive (hence the "kinda") but here we go: yes, Jesse Eisenberg is set to re-team with his 'Social Network' scribe Aaron Sorkin on his new HBO series "The Newsroom" but it's not exactly what you're thinking. The actor will appear in what's being described as a "small voiceover role" although, as mundane as that may sound, the part will noted to be "easily recognized as a key 'newsmaker.'"

Aaron Sorkin is back on television, and from the looks of the trailer of his latest show, "The Newsroom," this is a very good thing. Coming off of back-to-back Oscar nominations for his screenwriting work on "The Social Network" and "Moneyball" (winning the first one, but losing to "The Descendants" in February), Sorkin's return seems like the culmination of all the shows that have come before, including "The West Wing," "Sports Night" and, yes, even "Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip."

Joshua Marston hit the scene hard with his taut, harrowing drug-mule drama "Maria Full of Grace," and though he's been quiet since (not by choice -- more on that to come), this year will see the release of his sophomore effort "The Forgiveness Of Blood." His second outing once more takes him away from the comforting soils of the States, this time to Southeast Europe, landing in the Republic of Albania.

Jane Fonda To Grace Your TV Screen With Role In Aaron Sorkin's HBO Drama 'Newsroom'

To those of a younger generation, it's possible that Jane Fonda is better known as a campaigner and as ex-wife of mogul Ted Turner than as an actress. For twenty years between 1990 and 2010, the Oscar-winning star of "Klute" and "Coming Home" made only two films, the weak Jennifer Lopez comedy "Monster-In-Law," and the even weaker Lindsay Lohan vehicle "Georgia Rule."
